I managed to get in at 9, but it's the tooth that's broken and the filling has stayed in place. A couple of weeks with a temporary dressing on it before it can get sorted.

Oh no, hope they can sort it without taking it out @Lucy Glad you managed to get in to see the dentist this morning to get the temporary dressing on.
Rang my Dentist when I had pain back in July, but could only get an appointment late October. Went last week, by which time it had stopped hurting and the lump of something behind my tooth had by now disappeared. Said that must have been part of my part filling/scale or whatever it was dislodged, but now disappeared.. That must have been swallowed as well ..
Oh no, I hope your dentist is easier to get an appointment with than my Dr...
I couldn't get a doctors appointment for my medication review, which I needed to get more repeats. Receptionist said she could only give me phone appointment in over 3 weeks time. Told her I needed to see doctor so that he/she could take my blood pressure and do other tests, but no, she insisted the doctor could do it over the phone! Doctor rang 3 weeks later "I can't do that over the phone, I need to actually see you"

Think we really should move down to Worcester. Son can get an appointment at both his doctors and dentist either later that day, or latest the next day. When hubby was ill once while we were down there, the receptionist apologised that they could only get him an appointment to see the doctor the next morning...

He wants to put another filling on to see if that lasts before trying a crown.

I don't go to the doctors enough, simply because I need them in the moment, can't get an appointment that doesn't mean I have to have the day off and leave it. Because I generally book the dentist 6 months in advance I tend to get the 8.45am appointment and be in work for 9.30.

Same here, I mostly work 7am - 3pm or abouts, there's no way I can phone at 8am or 12.30pm as I'm at work. My only regular day off is a Monday & I've let this carry on for a good 6 weeks.

I took @tek-monkey s advice & went and stood in the queue at the Dr's at 12.30, so have an appt later this afternoon.

Things are not looking so bright for our cat though, even though it's easier to get him a vets appointment this morning, things aren't looking great for him.

I've got my next one in already for next April. (Even then they only had a few appointments times to choose from ) . But only written it on my new calendar in pencil this time to save making a mess of it ..had to wait another week longer in October , as they decided to cancel the original one I'd waited 3 months for as they rang and said the dentist wanted a day off that day.

Oh no, hope he's going to be ok @littleme

Norman just rang me.
He was at the Arboretum today and he read a poem out loud.
Then he got interviewed by five different news channels, he can’t remember which, but he thinks he’s going to be on tele at 6.00pm.

He’s on the left hand side. Grey trousers, navy jacket. It just so happens that a friend of mine was there, spotted him and took a photo.

I've just washed the dishes in the bath. Oh the fun of having a new kitchen.
Brings back memories of having our fridge sitting in the middle of our lounge with a microwave on it , and washing the dishes in the bathroom sink and wringing the clothes washing out by hand after washing it in the bath all week.

Got a question...... Anyone know if cats protection stall is usually always there in the market on a tuesday? Got a few things to walk down with , but don't want to cart it all down to find no stall.

Well...just encountered the most horrible woman on cats protection store. Asked if she wanted my 3 brand new boxed games, never been opened..." I don't know, sling them on the floor and I'll ask the manager on Thursday!" Then turned round and started chatting to her friend. :o

Told her forget then, I'd take them somewhere else!

Edited.... Blue Cross were very grateful for them. Told them what cats protection woman said. Apparently I'm the 2nd person to go in today and say that.
