I have to admit to knowing about the pampas grass for well over 40yrs, we used to go to Oulton Primary just outside of Stone, one of the bungalows had an abundance of pampas growing in the garden.
My dad and his brother were talking about the owners one day, and my Uncle remarked that ''they'd always been wife swappers from before they got married'', for the life of me I don't know what they said to associate that with the grasses, but us kids ''knew''.
Knowing my luck if me and the ex had gone to one of them there parties, I'dve picked his sodding car keys out of the fruit bowl.

I don't believe any of this from any of you! @staffordjas @Glam & @Carole are you all living under rocks... how can you not know this when you are all computer literate? :lorks:

I honestly didn't know about Netflix and chill and I didn't know about aubergine emoji either.

The thing is this.. I don't have teenage kids. I don't spend much time around kids, we don't have Netflix and we don't watch much tv.
Our lifestyle is more adult orientated in that we discuss lots of other stuff so some things take a while to get on our radar.

For example, It was only about 2 years ago that I discovered that an air guitar wasn't actually a real instrument.

Would vacuum bags be any help for these? She could keep more and rotate them if she likes. I've also seen bean bag type things that you can fill with soft toys to become somewhere to sit. https://smile.amazon.co.uk/s?k=soft+toy+bean+bag+storage&crid=205ANGJG75B87&sprefix=soft+toy+bea,instant-video,142&ref=nb_sb_ss_i_1_12 like these, if there is space.

We made progress today but not without tears, I've ordered some vacuum bags today from amazon that was a good idea that she could see the logic of.

I pushed her too far by talking about throwing away her old desk top PC that hasn't worked for years and is under a pile of clothes. She said it has loads of photos on it so I've suggested we take the hard drive out and get the photos off the hard drive in some way. Tek monkey please tell me we can put the hard drive in a different desk top and get the photo's off it or we can get the photo's off it in some other way.

Easiest way might be to get an external dock with a USB connection. If it's a very old PC the hard drive might have IDE connectors (lots of pins) but some docks have both IDE and SATA connectors. External docks are always handy as you can pop drives in and out of them with ease.

Nipped into Aldi quickly first thing on my way to an early morning appointment. Car park was nearly empty, came out to find a car parked next to me (and over the line partly in my space) , but at an angle across the back of mine, about an inch off . No wonder there's so many accidents if people can't even manouevre into a big wide parking space , especially with a massive choice of them at that time!

Ahhh I miss those days in the old Prince Bar with bikers named Eric Bloodaxe and Henry HornHelmet. If you dig up the floor in the current lounge, you'll find all the oil spots that indicate of the presence of Brit Bikes, and grooves where longships slid ashore.

Tried a few drags round the back of the bike sheds at Kingston Sec Mod School, but never took the habit. Couldn't see the gain as all these other fellahs kept coughing and saying: "You'll soon get the knack of it." (Knack was an in word back then, although as far as I could see they all got knackered by smoking in time ..)

So never smoked after that.

Drinking on the hand …. :pint::pint::buddy::bananarock::pint::pint:
