For someone who is supposed to be the PR 'voice' of the rugby club, you don't appear to have a particularly solid grasp of the English language.
Metaphor in particular seems to present all sorts of problems to you.
Are you feeling OK?
Where have your discussions with Staffordshire Wildlife Trust led you to?As I’ve said before, I try to add positive input on here, I get the impression I’m not overly welcome, so we may as well just ‘crack on’ heh?
The RC rep who could tell us has gone
Have you thought about emailing them?Lights also on at about 1:30pm when it wasn't dark. Electricity must be cheap in Doxey. Looks like the lights have been nudged down a bit, though. The RC rep who could tell us has gone,
I'm told the floodlights come on at 7.00am
Including this morning
Is this correct?
I was at the rugby club last night and very surprised with the place and how good it was.
No I understand that from the time spent on this place, I was giving my view having spent some time at the place.I don't think the issue is whether the club is of any quality.
It's the location.
I asked the question about morning use ages ago, and didn't get a response after confirming I was talking about the floodlights I don't think.
Imagine that you were super excited about something that you were involved with, and your job was to make everybody else as super excited about it as you already were!
Easy, right?
Then you find out that not everybody is quite so excited about it as you are.
Well they must be wrong, right?
And then you find out that lots of people have all sorts of legitimate concerns about what you were really excited about that makes it not quite as exciting as it was when you first got all excited about it because now people are kind of getting on your case rather than virtually high-fiveing you about how awesome it all is.
Well you wouldn't then want to talk to them about it any more, would you?
Regarding the location, yes its clear that we are not going to agree and further debate would be something of a moot argument.Apologies for lack of input on here of late, January is a pretty busy time of year with my day job and given we’ve all got bills to pay, that’s where my focus has been.
I think this thread may well have run its course. I’ve tried to be constructive but I get that people will have and are more than welcome to have different views to mine.
The facts remain that we are here to stay, we are a community club and it’s an excellent facility that more and more groups, sports clubs, charities and businesses are utilising - that’s only going to increase.
The minority view is it’s in the wrong place, we’ve been round & round on that one and no one is saying the majority are correct and the minority are wrong but there is absolutely nothing we can do about it now other than work with our neighbours / relevant bodies to make things work.
As I am on here less, feel free to contact me directly on chairman@staffordrugby.com if you have any comments / questions / issues.
