Does anyone fancy a weekend in Paris?

S
We're trying to avoid booking anywhere which involves flying over French airspace. Been caught up in their Air Traffic Controllers strikes before!
(Although son had a warning from Jet2 on the day of his flight from Prague of possible delays last week because of the French strikes. (Luckily he got off on time) His route wasn't flying over France, but other flights were clogging the airspace whilst diverting around France )

Can't get the hotel we want in Lanzarote for anytime in May , because of the Ironman taking place .

Can't get the flight times we like for the Canaries .

Might go to Algarve again if the '1 room left' is still left when hubby decides to get round to booking.....

We’ve just got back from holiday.
We had a couple of days in Fort Lauderdale before getting on a cruise ship, the beautiful Celebrity Edge.
It’s a gorgeous ship, 4 main dining rooms and several specialty restaurants.
We met some lovely people, had fun, no queuing anywhere, lots to do both on and off the ship.
We were both impressed with the Captain (but husband was particularly enamoured).
She did say on her first announcement before leaving port “We’ll be on our way just as soon as I can remember which purse I’ve left the keys”.

Definitely an improvement on some of the 'Old Men' I sailed with. (Now there's a thought, in general aboard ship the Captain is referred to as 'the old man.'

Somehow I don't think referring to 'the old woman' is going to work … )

Just booked a week in Croatia for the middle of May. The offspring have been saying we should try Croatia in preference to Greece where we normally go, for a number of years, so we've finally taken the plunge. Coincidentally, Rick Stein featured it this morning on BBC2 just as we were booking.

And then it'll be off to Greece for a couple of weeks in June. Can't decide whether to go with a two-centre package to somewhere we've already been or go island-hopping to somewhere we haven't.
