Cuffy/Skill - Stafford customer service thread - Stafford retailers reports.

Really?

I don't know why, but it has narked me a bit so a follow up:

"Black's Law Dictionary defines unlawful as "not authorized by law, illegal." Illegal is defined as "forbidden by law, unlawful." Semantically, there is a slight difference. It seems that something illegal is expressly proscribed by statute, and something unlawful is just not expressly authorized"

Therefore, as an attempt to deny a customer their statutory rights is expressly forbidden, then the sign is illegal IMHO but I am happy either way and as I would never shop there anyway I don't much care.

Huge thank you to James from Hule Garden Building based in Dunston.

He has built me a fantastic 16ft x 10ft garden building. The workmanship is outstanding and it was built for a very reasonable price. I couldn't be happier with it.

James is an extremely likeable chap, very professional and takes care in everything that he does. He strives for perfection.

Check out their website. You will see my garden building on there.

I will also upload photos later.

Skills to the fruit and veg place in the indoor market. Visited last week to understand what they offer and had our first delivery yesterday. They do different sized boxes of seasonal veg either to collect (they leave them out the front of their stall with your name on) or delivered for free with virtually no plastic used in the process.

Haven't seen mud on potatoes for an age!

Will get a pic taken of the next delivery.

Daughter in law uses these, due to her Fibro, she is immobile at times. I'm sure she rings the bloke that runs the stall, he delivers. And she gets loads for the money. We had the veg for Christmas Day, can't fault any of it.

While we are bigging up retailers. We use Roots Larder alot, its not just refilling rice, pulses and dry goods. Detergents, herbs, spices as well as toiletries and a lot of other items. If we can get it from them, we get it. Really nice place, good value and fantastic service. A by product is you also get to help cut down waste.

Another thumbs up for Roots Larder. Best buys for me were metal straws and alternatives to cling film for wrapping food! And the refillable conditioner from tranquility next door

Also a go to place for recycling packaging that doesn't go in your conventional blue bin - crisp packets in particular.

Build up a haul of otherwise-elsewhere-unrecyclables, take your own refillable whatsits, do a twofer!
