Can't wait to get back to pecks, bushels and roods. Not that keen on medieval plumbing though …. :embarrass:

Mmm, it was a bit rough out in the Big Sea - this buoy is about 200 miles off the west coast of Ireland - those are general forty foot waves with the odd sixty footer coming past...

PAH !! Call that a sea ? … I've seen waves so high, that in the troughs between the seabed was exposed … !! (And this was over the Mariana Trench.)

My last experience sailing over to Ireland on the midnight Sealink ferry was being locked in below decks because the sea was so rough.. Vowed never to sail again !

Hubby was :pint:Guinness and playing cards, whilst I was stepping over bodies sleeping outside the loos to spew my guts up .

Wouldn't like to be out on the seas tonight. Getting rather rough out there!

I remember as a kid crossing from Holyhead to Dún Laoghaire on an old British Rail ferry called the Princess Maud. Being a kid the ship had to be explored, but on some rough crossings the main danger was not the rolling of the deck, but slipping in all the puke in the alleyways. I've always been lucky in that I've never been bothered by sea sickness .. (although there were a couple of ships I was thoroughly sick of ..) but I've seen people utterly devastated by it and it really isn't a joke.

A34 southbound closed from Aston Roundabout to Whitgreave Lane. A farm building has blown into the road just past the greyhound pub at Yarlet.

Hubby just sent a photo from his office window on Astonfields , with cars and carpark covered in snow.

Snowing here on Wildwood , coming down thick as well and sticking on lawns

No snow in Walsall but the OH has sent me a picture of our garden where it's starting to stick.
