Moving To Stafford.

I may only go out every couple of months in terms of nightclubs but the fine ale pubs sound good. I play guitar and ain't bad and wouldn't mind the occasional jam night to attend to.

I'd be happy just working in a coffee shop to be honest and have done kitchen / catering work for the past 2 years and I think there is an agency that does that, Berry Recruitment.

My reason for moving is I fancy a change and a new / fresh start. Stoke has quite frankly, gone downhill. Really needs doing up. Also I can jump on the 101 if I ever need come to Stoke visit family etc.

I've been visiting Stafford town centre occasionally past week and it seems ok. I used to attend Staffordshire University (Stafford Campus) so was already a bit familiar with the area.
Plenty of jam nights around town so you’ll definitely find a welcome at one of those.

Really? Who?

A number of ex football players; Brian Little - ex Aston Villa Manager; Jet and Lightning from the 90s hit Gladiators; a British Heavyweight Boxer and an Irish Male model / Big Brother. I can't remember there names - my wife and I met them on a night out in Slaters. She now follows them on Instagram.

There are currently of pubs that do jam nights - Slaters - Tuesday night; Dog House - Wednesday night and Kings Arm - Thursday night (I think).

I think that's in the eye of the beholder. I was recently at a Stafford Rangers game with an Aston Villa fan who was starstruck by Brian Little. My wife was starstruck by the irish bloke, whom I can't remember.

Is this a good time to buy in Hopton or Hopwas?

If the HS2 is parking itself between Solihull and Old Oak Common, then I guess there’s a whole load of empty or cheap homes ready to move into

Never saw that coming
