Ahh , now I get it.
I seem to have offended some Ford owners by that comment I made.

I'll try not to lose any sleep over it though.

I changed a wheel on a Fiesta for someone once. Some bright spark at Ford had decided to hang it underneath, presumably so that you could get at it without having to empty the boot. But, you still needed to empty the boot to get at the bolt that held it up anyway. This bolt was, of course, seized, and it took a good while to finally drop the (filthy and corroded) wheel down.

She then took the punctured wheel to be fixed. They put it back underneath.

It fell off on the way home, as the thread on the bolt was totally buggered by that point.

This is what you find, when you check on the spare in my trusty Getz. A rather more savoury prospect.

Wish I actually had a spare in our car! Only got a can of something to spray into the knackered tyre. So far ( fingers crossed) never had to use it.

A fortnight after hubby's payslip should have arrived, it was delivered torn up in a plastic bag, with an apology from the Post Office.
Worried whether another important document had ended up the same way, which had failed to arrive, rang the company to find it had been posted out a fortnight ago.... Now printed off the 17 pages involved, so not a small envelope to get lost.
Now wondering if we have other important stuff not reached us :hmm:

Got a longer walk to feed ex- neighbours Fuss- cat , but well worth it for all the kisses, purring and drooling (the cat, not me) & lots of cuddles from my little matey

That picture reminded me of a trip to West Midlands Safari park with the kids in the 90s.

An idiot blocked the road with his massive camper and just sat there laughing as the monkeys ripped the other cars to bits.

What he didn't realise was that his skylight was slightly open, well it was until the monkeys ripped it off.

It was very amusing watching the monkeys looking out of the windows of the camper at their mates and the other drivers then blocking the camper in so he couldn't drive off.
