Had a 1.8 V6 LHD German mk1 two door Granada years ago, not the fastback Granada Ghia we had ever here, it was a short wheelbase version of the GB market saloon. Smashing motor, lovely smooth engine. Not owned a Ford since though.

I remember the Granada .
Ford dont make them like that anymore that's for sure :)

Try and get yrsen the best insoles you can afford, I get the odd pain now and again, just depends on what shoes I've been wearing, tho I can't remember the last time I wore high heels.
It's my own fault. I have been working from home for 2 weeks, effectively been in flat slippers the entire time.

I've always wanted a Granada Coupé, but never happened upon one in good enough condition yet.

I remember hiring a car from Hertz at Heathrow after a long flight home. They were short on smaller cheapo cars so they offered me a Granada Ghia for the same price. I came home like a bat of hell …
Had to return it to the Hertz Office in Stafford, somewhere up by where Tesco's is now, I was kind of sad to part with it.

Dave Gorman's father always had Granadas, until he went all Lancia and Isuzu and Mitsubishi...

He once told me that he had spent nearly a week trying to bleed the brakes, yet they were still 'soft'. I suggested to him that he should observe the behaviour of the (ventilated) front discs, as 'she' depressed the pedal. As I suspected, the ribs had corroded away and the two sides of the disc were being bent towards each other, giving the illusion of "air in the system", when they wasn't really any at all. He had poo-pooed the idea that this could happen, but came in (on his bike) the next day, as white as a sheet.

It was just a fluke that I had read a reader's letter in one of the office's communal magazines a few weeks before, revealing this possibility, but he listened to me a bit more for a while after that...

Just seen a photo from inside sons work with the river water right up to the windows outside. Another manager who lives nearby waded through the flood water to see if the building was dry inside. So far it is as the building is raised.....

Praying the River Severn levels drop dramatically after todays Peak. Feel so sorry for those with flooded homes and businesses. But also so pissed off son's been working extra hours to build up bill funds, but now not earning anything at all since sundays evacuation until his store ceases to be part of the river :(

Going for another cuddle with fuss-cat now, whilst on cat-sitting duties , to cheer me up . (Hoping their neighbours didn't hear me singing lullabys to him yesterday  )

Ford need to remake the Granada, in this style, and the MK3 Cortina. I would be at the front of the queue for both of them.
When I moved to Stafford in 1982, I had a Mk3 Cortina - MHB 330P (amazing how you can remember your first cars' number plates but always have to check when you're arranging parking at the airport).

Had to downsize to a Talbot Sunbeam  when the missus got rid of her mini and wasn't happy driving the cortina to work every day.

I can remember most of the number plates that Dad had right thru the 70s.(Mostly Hillman Avengers)
And all that the ex and myself had.
But I have to have sticky notes round the house, reminding myself about keys etc. I swear I will end up being a patient at work before too long.

Had a Sunbeam Lotus in 1987. It had 'interesting' handling and reliability. Didn't keep it long.

My first car was a black 1963 mini . Bought it from someone in Merrivale road , and drove back home with the horn blasting everytime I went around the slightest of bends. Soon got rid of the horn feature !
