I've got up at 6.30am .... (I'd actually forgotten there was another 6.30 in the morning  ) Going into the big city !!! (well ... Bideford) to get the car serviced and MOT'd.
Needless to say it's raining. Ah well, Sin City here I come. :ninja:

Just got back from the metropolis that is Bideford. Rained all the way there. Rained while I walked into town then around and around and back again. (7.59 miles at an average of 3.1 mph according to the GPS.) Car went through MOT/service ok, and while I was waiting I had a look around the showroom. These new MG3's look rather nice I must say.
Rained all the way back home.
Still raining.
Took this pix of the Lundy Ferry alongside in Bideford as that flag (the old Red Duster) is something of a rarity these days. :(

The more you talk about your hubby, the more I think that you must have the patience of a Saint.
Wait til he's working from home if / when special Coronavirus measures are drawn up . His contacts all around the world will soon find out I haven't got the patience of a saint, when they hear me ranting :blah: in the background ...

Bought myself a super duper digital thermometer, and had the great idea to buy son one as well and post it to him. After taking ages struggling to parcel it up , discovered at the post office I wasn't allowed to post it with the batteries in .

A little bit late, but i am now, as of last week, a year smoke free.

I think i might have broke the back of it.

Well done @Withnail :) Cracked it! So pleased you've kept it up.

(Sons managed 5 weeks 2 days so far, so I'm hoping like you he keeps it up as well. I'll mention your achievement to give him encouragement to hang on in there , it can be done ! :))

10 years this weekend for me! :bananafunk::bananarock:
Brilliant :)

Coming up to 41 for me. At the time I chain smoked 40+ a day as you could smoke indoors everywhere those days, including at work and pubs ( except at home, my parents went ballistic the one time I dared light up in the garden)

Had a lovely day ...
Enjoyed cuddles with puss cat today , nice chat , tea & cake , and came home with pressies for looking after puss cat . Part of pressies already devoured. Rest cooling down ready to enjoy very soon :pint:

I've just mowed the lawns.
I did mine this afternoon.

I don't know if it's me mowing them somewhat earlier than usual, but there seemed to be a lot more moss than I was expecting. I gave it a good wuffling afterwards to try and pick up the moss and now it looks a right mess.

It has been a real 'moss winter' - perpetually wet and hardly ever below freezing.

Thought about mowing mine. But after getting the step Ladders to help whack a ball off the neighbours garage roof with my line prop, and the ladders sinking down into the boggy lawn, decided against it.

I weigh myself daily on the Nintendo Wii. First message to appear on the screen today was 'A...A....A...A....ATCHOO! '

Called into the farmshop on Cannock Road for the first time in years. Bought so much stuff it took 3 visits to the till and backwards and forwards to the car .

Think I've found my favourite shop , and the bonus of getting to make a big fuss of the nice farm dog :)

Chase the Rainbow farm shop.
It closed down last year for a few months then reopened under new management.
The lady that now owns it is doing a marvellous job and it’s much improved from the previous owners.
As you will have noticed, everything is super fresh and top notch.

It’s on the main A34 Cannock Road, just by the turning for Bednall.
It’s definitely worth a visit. Not just vegetables and fruit, but jams, cakes, home made pies, sausages, bacon, cheese, just really lovely things.
