Cheers, I might try early morning this week then. Did you have to queue long to get in?

I got there at 07.30ish and there were about 10 people ahead of me.

By 08.00 the queue was down past the Click and Collect point but had cleared when I came back out.

Not sure what was left by then though but there didn't seem to be any panic buying and customers were patient and waited their turn.

Don't forget @Lucy that lots of supermarkets put aside the first hour or hour & 1/2 of trading for NHS staff, then the elderly & vulnerable.

Sainsbury's is...

Mon, Weds & Fri 7.30am - 8am NHS Staff

Mon - Fri 8am - 9am Elderly & vulnerable.

Please check your stores opening times before visiting.

I think I read Tesco NHS and elderly hours are 09.00 to 10.00 on Tuesdays and Thursdays with a previewing hour on Sundays.

I don’t want to spread misinformation so take this with a substantial shaker of salt.

We bought a crappy toaster a few months ago, when you push it down sometimes it doesn’t click in but it’s stays down so you think it’s working until you realise it’s not.

Saturday morning I got up put some toast in and started faffing, came back 5 minutes later and pushed the crappy toaster back down, 20 seconds later the smoke alarm was going off and I decided the smoke alarm was crappy as well. Next thing the power trips and the kitchen is full of smoke.

I’m just stood there confused because I can’t smell a damm thing, I don’t have a cold and I have never lost the ability to smell at any point before that I know of, especially exceptionally burnt toast.

then I see this and I have no idea what to make of it, on bbc news a doctor was suggesting that a loss of smell and taste is reportedly the most common symptom of the virus. I currently have a fractionally raised temp 37.7 my Sense of smell came back almost instantly I have experienced no other symptoms.

I’m on edge now Worried for hubby and the small people I live with not sure if I’ve had the damm virus, I’m in the early stages of something, whether they’ve had it or If I’ve simply become a tabloid reading paranoid hypochondriac.

Has anyone else noticed this about the published testing etc figures?
Yesterday's figures (before the new testing of frontline NHS staff) were 120,000 tests, 17,000+ positive. These are mainly tests carried out on hospital patients showing Coronavirus symptoms. So 102,000+ patients with probably the flu.
I'm not trying to trivialise this but it needs putting into context. it's a lot worse than flu & I certainly wouldn't want a severe dose of it.

I don't know whether ^ that will work, but if it does it's fascinating.

Anosmia is anecdotally reported in about 30% of cases - do not underestimate the over reporting on account of panic.

People are stupid, and are probably even stupider when under stress.

Not you, obviously, i mean people people.

But one shouldn't necessarily discount people, or even people people, off hand.

The truth is out. The spread of Coronavirus is nothing to do with the poor old Peter the pangolin or Barry the bat, here's the real culprit!!!

They are saying that it can be part of the symptoms, but by far the main symptoms are still a temperature and cough.

My mate the binman emptied the bins this morning , and reminded me to wash my hands throughly after touching the handle to take back in (I always do anyway), as Coronavirus and other germs could be transferred from one bin handle to the other thousands of times over...

Then saw a neighbour take hers back down, jump straight into her car and drive off to work, where she is mixing with loads of people.:ohno:
