It is Andromeda, but sadly, the cost of getting a pix of our galaxy from that distance was a bit beyond PayPal. Our galaxy is about the same size (give or take a mile or so :roll: )

Hard to believe, but it’s even wider than Corporation Street is long. :P

I was quite prepared to believe that you were referring to your own home planet.

On my walk around the lake this morning (only saw a couple of people and a few sad looking fishing types) I came across this Gig looking a bit forlorn in the grass. I suppose this years Gig rowing season is down the tubes as you need six rowers and a cox which wont fit the 2 metre rule. So they've dragged it up from the water and plonked it here. Couldn't get a side view as the battery in the camera decided to 'pay off.'
