BzzzzzzzzzzzSounds like Skynet to me.
My bathroom was full of the things other day! Luckily @littleme was on hand to tell me where to find the ant powder. Id've never found it else.I have very little of an ant issue here. There is a small colony under a slab in one of the greenhouses. They have been flying in the last few days, but it's clear that the spiders are not going to relinquish any territory to them.

There is a lot of activity from Pied Wagtails, who stroll about all day, picking at things, and I wonder if they are the cause of the general garden area being largely untroubled by ants?
I did notice this little lad the other day. As he was being fed by a parent, it was clear that he was a young Pied Wagtail, and I don't remember ever knowingly seeing one before.
