I've been a bit reluctant to buy face masks as I thought there was a shortage. I had a look at Amazon and presumed the shortage was over with all those displayed, so I looked through them all and selected a pack of 50 for £19.00. That way one wear and in the bin. Call that 50 supply runs.

When they arrived I noticed they were made in China !!!

Is it just me ? ... or is the irony monster creeping about nearby ... ? :?:

My daughter purchased some of the reusable fabric ones ready for when her furlough ends and she returns to work.
Pleased to say that her employer will issue face masks too , not only for work but if public transport has to be used that they will supply for that aspect also.

The wear once ones are only good for about 20 - 30 mins then should be thrown away.

B&M, and Home Bargains have some fabric washable & reusable ones for about £1.50 each.

We almost lost my brother to the virus a few weeks ago. It’s a truly awful thing.
I’m hoping tomorrow we’ll hear a science led update on shielding. Although I yearn to just get out and about, I’m equally a little apprehensive of being out there having spent so long staying in. I imagine for some, the mental health impact of shielding will be a major issue.

Sorry to hear about your brother @peggy. Glad he's managed to pull through it and still with you.
We lost hubbys cousin to it back in April.
Scared us from going out anywhere , especially with hubbys heart failure , we've been getting deliveries in and I just dared to visit the local ''deserted' garage when we ran out of milk.
I ventured out shopping for the first time last week to the local butchers and farm shop.....it was nice to get out and talk to people, and I felt a bit more human again, but the way everyone else in those places were acting it was as though the virus didn't exist. I haven't dared go into a supermarket yet, just getting click & collect where I can stay in the car. (Apart from the time I had to walk there and get a taxi back as the car battery died).
Hope you are able to enjoy getting out and about soon @peggy

Braved my first takeaway order of any description (apart from Izaac Walton Brewhouse essential shopping) since lockdown.

Costa are using this gadget to deliver your coffee from the serving area to your car.
