its not anyone elses responsiblity to look after and protect ourselves.
That is our responsibility.
If anyone is waiting for anyone else to do it for them , then they may be waiting a while.

i know it would be 'nice' if people did watch everyones back , but this is the real world.

What a sad post this is.
So basically you’re saying that people should look out for themselves and not bother to care for anyone else?

That selfish attitude is why this mess is going on for so long. People thinking “well it doesn’t affect me so I’m not bothered about how it affects others.”

In fairness I think he's just saying what the sad reality is, not what he thinks it should be.

I have a family member who works for COOP. they received a 10% bonus for a period (about a month if I remember correctly) for any hours worked. They also had a free meal deal each day for the same period. This was Tipton way but I assume it would be universal.

I don't intend to go anywhere else other than the place I work still for quite some time, but speaking to a lot of people on a daily basis has shown me that most people think everything will just go back to normal on the 4th. This week I've had people refuse to move away as they think distancing is 1 metre already, I've had people touch me, and hold onto me while talking to me, staff members right next to me to solve problems, plus in certain areas there just isnt the room to distance, it's just too much, I'm not behind a screen and away from the public (most of the time), the general public can come right up to me to speak to me, usually removing their mask and gloves to do so... What's the point... Its so distressing to be in this position, people just don't think...

I honestly think everyone who has been able to isolate or at least limit their social experiences is so happy for everything to return to (nearly) normal, but anyone who has worked throughout is terrified, its just too soon, everything is not back to normal, our friends and colleagues are still getting sick... Maybe it's just me...

No it's certainly not just you. I have just had to go to the other side of Uttoxeter so called into Tesco's on the retail park on the way back.

No anti bacterial spray for the trolleys, no handgel, no marshalls, no one way system compliance, no social distancing. I was crapping myself so grabbed what I needed and left as quickly as possible.

Totally the opposite of the Stafford store so
I shan't be visiting that branch in a hurry!!!

At least it will all be over on Saturday and we can return to the carefree normal, whatever that is nowadays!!! Well at least until the second spike happens.
