Holidays 2020

Depends on what you are interested in and what is open. Lots of nice little places round the coast. As well as Cromer, Wells and Blakeney there's Brancaster, Burnham Overy, Holme next the Sea & Cley. Wells & Walsingham Light Railway, North Norfolk Railway, Mid Norfolk Railway. Thursford has a working museum of "mechanical organs, Wurlitzer shows, silent movies, old fashioned fairground carousels and static displays of both fairground engines and road engines and all kinds of related memorabilia." Think Fakenham still has a gas works museum. Norfolk Lavender. Sandringham. Houghton Hall. Castle Acre & Castle Rising. Ecotech Discovery Centre at Swaffham ...
Are you for hire as a tour guide? Holidays out sorted, as per @Noah

I am impressed by the idea of a 'gasworks museum.' I'd be thinking of taking a wheelbarrow with me in the hope of getting it filled with coke.

(Not the white powder type coke ... :P)

Thanks for all of your responses, they've given me a few good ideas of things to do.

Not sure about the gas works museum but I may try it if we have a rainy day during the week :)

I'd give the coke a miss. I tried shoving it up my nose ... you'd need 12 bore nostrils for that stuff .... :P

Just had our flights to California cancelled by BA. Only 30mins waiting to get through and organise a full refund. People should remember these things when they book Ryanair!

Anyway gutted is an understatement, even though we weren't wanting to fly the finality of the flight cancellation wasn't good for spirits.

Camping in Wales in the rain anyone!!

My Vegas BA flights took an age to be refunded, grateful they got there in the end but a couple of months.

Still waiting for our Ryanair refund from may, our next holiday we booked is with BA so hopefully if it does get cancelled we can get a refund a little bit quicker. In other news we booked a camping trip to wales today :xd:

Well Ryanair don’t fly to California so that’s a ridiculous comparison.

Also, British Airways absolutely shouldn’t be held in high regard at the moment.
£9 billion in the war chest but still taking government money in furlough.

Making people re apply for the job that they’ve been doing for 20 or 30 years but on half the current pay?

I’ve been sent the 59 page document of the new terms and conditions.
It’s an absolute disgrace.
I was proud to work for them in the 80’s, loved putting my uniform on and going to work.
I’m glad that I got out before it went pear shaped.

My colleagues still working there are not happy.

My neighbour is still waiting for Ryanair refund from March . Booked with Ryanair through 'On the beach'. No joy ringing Ryanair herself for hours. No joy with On the Beach who have told her to chase Ryanair for the refund as it could be next year if she waits for them to get it for her...

Hubby has a fortnight booked off work in September , so hoping to get away for a couple of days stays in various different places around the UK. Just got to do a bit of planning and find some zoos and safari parks etc to book visits and hopefully find hotels which are still open when it comes to September.

It has been announced that Shell Island won't be opening the causeway this year, due to the Corona virus. It gives @age'd parent more of a chance to make a super doopah camper van x

Glad we didn't rebook our cancelled June holiday to the Algarve to September now, as looks like might have been disappointed a second time.
