250,000th poster!
I understand that Stafford has a local supply.
Lots of them seemed to try & change their mind, and go back down the little patio holes, much to the annoyoyance of the non flying ants.... I tried to get a photo... But....

So far only seen flying ants in Worcester whilst helping with sons garden last week. Not seen any by us yet....

Seen lots of butterflies in my garden today, normally see a couple if I'm lucky but today there have been loads of them and an assortment of species. Going to try to identify them all if they appear tomorrow...

Evicted quite a few ladybirds which hitch-hiked in on the washing .

Checking the birdfeeder, thought the seed had come to life.....seems a family of earwigs has moved in . Left them to it for now!

(Had a plague of earwigs in the early 60's which scared me to death of them. Literally thousands crawling everywhere . Then ended up on antibiotics last year after one being on the back of a patio chair where I picked it up, the pincher broke off inside my finger and a crater had to eventually be dug to get it out of my infected hand . Got to be the insect I dread the most!)

Earwigs can fly, but don't normally bother to use the facility much.

I've only ever seen it done once.

We had flying ant day about 2 weeks ago. Kitchen was crawling with the buggers, and none flyers. Then next day, piff, paff, poof, they'd all gone!

Did my first shop in Home Bargains since before lockdown , wearing one of the disposable masks that I bought online from them. Thought I'd buy some more whilst in there, and assistant pointed to them on the shelf. Looked like the same box as I'd already got.

Was thinking I'd have to tie the loops in a knot in future as the mask I was wearing kept riding up over my eyes and I was walking around blind.. (must have a little head ... )

Got home to find the new ones were a mixture of pink , white and blue so told hubby he could have the original blue ones and I'd have the new box. Tried one on and fit much better than the one I'd been wearing , so quite pleased with my smaller pretty coloured ones......

Just looked at the receipt which had 'Kids Masks' on them. (No mention of kids on the box )

I must have a kids size face as they fit much snugger than the bigger adult ones . I'm the one walking around with the mask featuring little doggies and bones , but at least I will be able to see where I am going

Haircuts!!! Our hairdresser came round and cut all our hair. With Mrs Noah, her son, grandson, and me, the pile of hair on the floor was huge.

Yesterday, I noticed a slight ridge appearing in the kitchen lino, in line with the run of the floorboards underneath.

Investigations revealed that the hot tap connection was leaking. Tightening it up had no beneficial effect, so I left it until this morning.

Dismantling things revealed no obvious cause of the leak - it looks as though the water had found a way out under the plating - so, everything had a good rub-down and was replaced.

I've left the cupboard empty for now, just in case I need to revisit matters - and there's a small USB fan running in there, with the doors open, to stir the air up a bit...

Had the power network folk in today to convert us to three phase like we have at home. It's a job that was scheduled for the end of March but had to be cancelled due to the excitement. Tomorrow the charger folk come to upgrade us to a decent home charger (not the 7kw nonsense), so that our vehicles become properly useable again.

Ah yes, three phase, the totally normal supply to have at home. How much did that set you back?

What charger are you upgrading to by the way? Surprised you’re not already on a Tesla home charger... or is 11.5kw still not enough?

(Here I am with my Type 1 3.3kw garbage from PodPoint that will be relocated to Facebook Marketplace as soon as I take delivery of a Model 3...)

Single phase is unhelpful if you need to charge more than one vehicle at a time.

And no, 11.5kw is not enough.

Didn’t actually know you could get home chargers above that tbh, or are you basically having to get a commercial grade charger now...? Granted I’ve never really looked into it too deeply... but being able to charge quickly during an Agile plunge unit rate does sound quite appealing.
