Also you almost always get several widely differing shades on the same piece of furniture. Never a good look. They are too expensive for the imported oak.

We've recently bought IKEA kit for spare bedroom, solid stuff. Flat pack is much better than it used to be.
I miss IKEA, of all the places.... When things are normal (& not before) I shall be back....Tbh flat pack still isn’t great in general, but IKEA is god-tier flatpack (and a very environmentally friendly company too... I get £6 off when I charge my car there)
Those Swedes are damn clever with their flatpack

We need some more of the white crockery, luckily I'll be there next week in the evening as I have to collect a new bike from decathlon !!I miss IKEA, of all the places.... When things are normal (& not before) I shall be back....
Son's furnished his house with a lot from IKEA. I'm amazed at how not one screw was missing, and everything fit together perfectly each time. Staff were excellent helping him to plan his TV units on their computer.Tbh flat pack still isn’t great in general, but IKEA is god-tier flatpack (and a very environmentally friendly company too... Personally, I don't think it'll reopen, was a much scaled down version before Covid-19 happened anyway , so was probably already earmarked for closure, and with the ease of click and collect, shipping stock between stores, and very flexible cheap delivery slots, is it even necessary anyway, that and the one within Sainsbury's having extra hours.
All mention of that store has been removed from the Argos website too, so looks like it's a permanent closure.

(Hotdogs from the cafe were pretty good as well...)
Noticed the Argos shop at the Hough retail park had a sign on the doors saying still closed last Friday. Was wondering if that will ever open again.Ive used that a lot as it was easy to get to walking or parking car right outside.
Same. I need a load of their Sortera boxes but they don’t have any stock. Need a load of other stuff from their market too...
It’s tempting, it’s dead there on a weekday evening during “normal” circumstances at the best of times
I 'think' that you can now order in store at the Sainsburys branch, I will check when I am there tomorrow...none of the stand-alone argos shops are open yet, only the in-store ones and only if you buy online for collection

The capacity of the Argos in the Sainsbury's cannot be great and I'm assuming they must be shuttling stock to they're from the Hough. They still have regular deliveries (we live on the Crossings) and it's also is still the main base for their delivery service.
Given the lack of free parking at Sainsbury's its certainly one of the main reasons we've not really bought much from there over the last few months.
If you are collecting an item from Sainsburys Argos, take your car park voucher part of the ticket in with you, and Argos refunds your car parking on collection (you don't have to buy anything else in the store) , so it is free....Given the lack of free parking at Sainsbury's its certainly one of the main reasons we've not really bought much from there over the last few months.
