I assume this 'event' will now be called off, after today's announcement.
Any weddings with 30 guests have been cancelled, so I can't see the party going ahead.

I expect the event will still go ahead.
I bumped into a few people today in the village who broached the subject before I did, but for me it validated my own thoughts.

In the front garden they’ve started putting things out.
I’ll keep you posted.

Enjoying a drop of red.

In the front garden they’ve put up mini blow up camper van tent things so it looks like all systems go.
According to my friend who lives near them, they had visitors, friends and family during the strictest part of lockdown when everyone else was behaving themselves.
So they are probably not going to cancel this event, but I’ll keep you posted.
Report them if they are breaking the regulations.

Report them if they are breaking the regulations.

Because they have been so open about it, the whole front of the house and drive decorated, I don't believe they think that they are breaking any rules.

But hardly anyone knows what the rules are nowadays (including myself) so perhaps it's all above board anyway?

So many people think the rules are you can mix with up to 30, and perhaps they are right.
It’s all very confusing.

Anyway, I'm just ignoring it/keeping out if it.

Mr littleme, does not like the above statement... He feels I should somehow justify myself. I feel I have nothing to justify, but for context....

My stepnana left school at 11, got a job in a brick factory to support her family, she was the cleverest, funniest, most knowledgeable, canniest person I ever met, she left a shed load of money to her family, and a wealth of information.

I'm not saying education doesn't matter, but, it's not the be all & end all of a personality or successful person.

Education does matter, but it is not synonymous with schooling.

I went to ten schools, only one of them was any use at all, and we were home by half one in the afternoon from there.

To be fair, quite a lot of my superiors have had less education than me. But still, surely school is needed more than pubs?

Schools or pubs ?
It should be obvious given the national debt Boris has built up.
Schools cost us taxpayers billions of pounds a year. Pubs contribute billions of pounds a year to the government's coffers.
