It's probably over Wheaton Aston for us.

Shrewsbury & Market Drayton seem to be getting a pasting, a few over Eccleshall and random strikes all over the place.

Silent storms like this also reported on Merseyside also. Lots of lightning but only a seemingly distant murmur of thunder. I've only ever seen this in the tropics.
I note the Met Office are actually calling these last few nights 'tropical nights.'

Had quite a few lightening flashes and rumbles of thunder around here tonight since around 9pm (when I first noticed).

Son said they had a thunder & lightening storm in his parts down in Worcester last night, but no rain.

Quite an impressive show going on at the moment . Just been to add a couple of cans to the recycling ( hoping they weren't going to attract the lightening) and just started hammering it down with rain as I came back in.

Rain! Hoorah! Although the child has made me come inside as she thinks ill get struck by lightning....
A neighbouring house, when we lived in West Way early 60's , was hit by lightening.
Blew the TV across the room after striking the aerial, so for the rest of my mum's life she was absolutely petrified of storms . We were never allowed to have the aerial plugged in after that.
( All Mirrors turned facing the wall, no cutlery in sight, and mum was under the table with our dog, who was equally as petfried picking up on mums Fear)

Some twat on a teacher Facebook group told me I could access results online at 4am.

I KNEW he was wrong (schools receive them on the Wednesday but individual teachers can't access until Thursday 6am)

Yet here I am at 4am trying to log in!

Can't get back to sleep now!
