Actually, suffocating people with that level of grammar, spelling and general intelligence does seem like quite a good idea.

Often accompanying that and in the same hand is a bit of graffiti that reads "infowar.com (or variants such as infowars or infowar's)

I'm a bit mind boggled at the layout since I last walked up that way .....
Looking out of town towards crem. The junction is with Hydrant Way on the left, the “new” road linking Tixall Road with the Beaconside roundabout. The second stage of the “Eastern Distributor Route that was big news when I started driving in 1970:lorks::lorks:
You wouldn’t recognise the changes there in the last 4 or 5 years.

Last time I was in Stafford was two years ago when I took a walk from the town up to the Common, then along the old Clog and Knocker common railway path, back down Beaconside then through the Second Withies and across the new Two Waters walkway eventually coming out on Fairway by the then being demolished MRI (where I worked for a few months long ago.) I saw all the building going on up toward the Crem, but seeing these pix was definitely a bit of a shocker. That was when I took the pix of the Ladder Bridge that goes over nothing which I put somewhere on this site.
I suppose if you're passing by regularly the changes occur less noticeably, but let a year or two pass and they come in one big thump.

I'm glad the tree survived all this change, but wouldn't put money on its future.

... someone emptying her very full vacuum cleaner collection container into the bin.

She was being very careful to avoid getting any of the dust, fluff and other general detritus onto herself, and she managed that quite well, I thought.

The bin was blue.

The green one, full, was next to it.

... this.

Possibly the result of two unconnected random carelessnesses.

Or, a carefully constructed art installation, intended to symbol many of the town's current issues?

Lots of cruise ships anchored out at sea in the bay , apparently to save paying the extortionate docking charges while they are idle due to Covid. Crew just coming ashore on little boats to get their food supplies etc
