Enjoying a drop of red.
Ribeye steaks and homemade Dauphinoise spuds tonight. Followed by homemade vegan LMP.

As I've had the afternoon off work I'm doing Mrs a vegan steak thingy Bob and made the meringue as well. Never done vegan meringue before so we shall see how that goes...

I did romanoff potatoes ... Google it.
A bit fiddly but very tasty and something a bit different.
Served them with pork loin and processed peas.

Off to the Seven Stars in a minute for a bite to eat. The good Mrs p is driving so I will be obliged to overindulge on the red wine I think in order to cope with the drive home in my car as, surprise surprise, her car has got a nearly empty battery. They do a rather nice Argentinian red, so the hardship will not really be that great.

Eating crap recently as house moving is stressful and the chippy always seems to be the best option!

I now have 2 1/2 weeks to move out of my house and put everything into storage - so operation 'clean out the cupboards' is on!

I've already made a good dent on the freezer (except the husband came home with 8 chicken breasts - you can guess what he's having for tea most nights!)

Tea tonight was lentil sausage stew (to use up the veggie sausages) and the rest of the week is a real odd assortment!

When we came back from Cyprus, we were put back a week at the last moment - well, the day before.

Everything that was ours was packed and gone by then - everything that belonged to the house was cleaned and in place for the inspection, so undoing that was to be as avoided as possible.

Every meal for the eight more days that we were there was a barbecue.

BBQ in sunny Cyprus sounds lovely!

More likely to be chips on a park bench here!

Mrs up in Formby on business do sausage, bacon, egg and chips for us.

You may be amazed to hear that a rather nice red has been opened and is in the middle of being consumed, whilst watching The Da Vinci Code.
