The Zoe app has this graph which is a bit worrying looking at the steep increase in just two or three days!!

Yeah, the “per 100,000” rates always look a lot worse in less populated areas. I’d still feel a lot safer there than in Stoke or even Stafford.
Living here myself a few too many people have the village mentality of it can't possibly happen to us...

The thing with the Zoe covid case rates at a local level is the wild day to day variation the rate sores of a couple of days then plummets for a couple but on a national level the data is closely tracking ONS data for the same period but at a local level, It looks that accuracy of data suffers.
Where do you access that graph as I can only seem to find the local map of case rates?

Enjoying a drop of red.

I may have had a little too much wine but I really don't understand a word of that.

I can't find that graph on mine either, where it's got the number of Stafford cases..

The graph is the first image I see under the "report today" message, then below that is the "did you know" information before the "COVID in Stafford" data.

The graph has only appeared recently but I don't think I did anything to see it.

Strange..... I've just got the 'report today' message, then immediately under that the 'Did you know message' , then the 'COVID in Stafford' one ..

A staggering 885 today :o

Some walkers over the Chase this morning didn't seem to think they should be social distancing at all . (Most were very good though , as well as most cyclists )
A big group of 6 oldies were approaching me on the path, I got right over and they still stayed spread out across the whole path. I stepped into the bracken on the other side of a big puddle as they slowly ambled past, still spread right out. Then I got not a thanks , but a "You got yourself the wrong side of the puddle! Hahaha ".
I pointed out that I was actually standing there making a space between us , and one actually laughed " Oh right ". No sense some people :ohno:

The risk outdoors is very low due to the excellent ventilation and rapid dilution of the virus. Also the rapid killing of virus particle through UV exposure. You should still try to keep a distance as it's just good manors but if someone doesn't I wouldn't freak out about it. The risk is much higher indoors especially premises without good ventilation as the virus can become concentrated and hang around for several hours.
As for the zoe covid figures I don't believe the daily local figures are very accurate much better to look at the average trends over a couple of weeks to remove the daily volatility from the figures. At present there seems to be a slow and steady increase in cases for the last 6 weeks or so.

I meet people like that all the time on the Chase (although they are very much in a minority of users overall). Like you say, they are mainly in the over 60 category of user.

I no longer have any tolerance for people like that now and give them both barrels. I fail to see any reason why I should keep quiet about others thoughtlesness or total disregard for others in the current circumstances. They then get very offended by my attitude, which results in them getting another two barrels. I don't suppose it achieves much but at least I get some satisfaction that I didn't meekly roll over and accept it.
