What are we watching on TV?

What We Do in the Shadows, just finished it all, amazeballs - really top notch.

If you've seen the film, which if you haven't you should, it's arguably better.

TBF you could get Matt Berry to narrate the phonebook and think seriously about advising people to turn on and tune in.

It was the original version of The Producers last night - I may only have seen it once before, possibly even in the Picture House, but I seem to have forgotten about 90% of it completely - and remembered bits that aren't in it.

I also have the (unseen) remake to compare it to at some point.

Tonight was the first two episodes of The Fall and Rise of Reginald Perrin.

It's nice to get Episode 2 out of the way, that's a little unpleasant.

Watched '1917' on Amazon Prime last night. Probably not the best film to watch as a distraction from the shit show we're all in, but utterly astounding direction from Sam Mendes.

The Sister. Just watched it on catch up. Will have to watch the second tomorrow after I've been sleep. Not too sure of it at the moment.

I watched that after not being able to go out after our Ironbridge expedition and concluded that it is one of those series that you must watch all the way through but hopefully the ending is worth it.

I don’t know how many episodes there are but my Monday night time is usually limited so I may have to use the catchup too.

Doesn't the Professor bloke look like Frank Gallagher (David Threlfall) Shameless?

What did you think about the ending?

I've just caught up with the last episode on ITV hub and was a little disappointed with how it finished.
Same here, it all seemed come together very quickly. Bit too quick for me. Weird bit with the dead girl in the back of his car too.
Nevermind, I've 2 series' of Vera recorded, I shall plough my way through them eventually.

'The Queen's Gambit' on Netflix

I don't know much about chess, and you don't need to. (I learned how to play at Dartmouth St School way back and that's about as far as it went. It usually ended in a punch up anyway.)

But this series about an orphaned young girl set in 60's America who becomes a chess prodigy, but at cost, is really quite powerful. The young lady who plays the part, Anya Taylor-Joy is pretty much sensational.

Same, enjoyed the first three episodes but very disappointed with the last episode and the ending.
