Look at the infographic in the link I posted. Even if you were staying socially distant the vapours will disperse throughout the building unless it's very well ventilated.
Some of us can remember smoking...

Sitting in the "non-smoking" area didn't make a lot of difference.

Even outdoors, exhaled aerosols are detectable many yards away - they're even visible now, from the vapers...

I know of some in cannock planning a piss up ahead of the lock downs, one last big night out as it were. Picks.

Cannock is probably the reason staffordshire is more likely to go into tier 3 than out of tier 2 ;) (Got to love the cannock jokes right? ;) )

And it's a interesting read lucy, but wouldn't the cases have gone back up quicker- after the pubs etc reopened? I didn't think it would go that far- but saying that it seems that it easily spreads.

How many people are asymptomatic though? I'm not saying the pubs are the start, but once it's in the general population, which it is, being in a poorly ventilated building with lots of others isn't a good idea.

I’ll start.... 27th November

I'll go for the 24th, !! depends if we have a UK wide-lockdown though but that's a whole other prediction- 2020- the year of predictions and masks being the new fashion bit of clothing..

Edit 28th ;)

I've not noticed pubs to be more poorly ventilated buildings than schools, care homes or shops, and I've not seen "lots of others" at the times of day I've usually used pubs.

Spend a lot of time in schools? Most shops have air con nowadays, certainly all the supermarkets.

Yes, thirteen years in schools though that was quite a while ago.
Air conditioning can cause as many problems as it solves and I'm sure many on here will remember that the cooling water system of one of the air conditioning plants at Stafford District General Hospital caused a large outbreak of Legionnaires’ disease with 22 deaths from 68 confirmed cases and a further 35 suspected cases.

Exactly it's been fairly quiet when i've been, Corona is still putting people off and I can understand that now it's like how it is again, and the whole 10pm curfew

Makes me wonder how these places can survive tier 2, probably better for them if we got tier 3 and they shut, at least they'd get money then.

When we last went into The Sun for a meal, it was certainly well ventilated where we were sitting! Rather than stopping on for a few more drinks as planned, we had to leave soon after we finished the meal as we had an icy blast aimed at our table which was closest to the back doors. (No more tables to change to as just had that one table remaining when we rang to book) . As we settled the bill the staff said that they had to leave the doors open due to current regulations, and were wondering what impact it was going to have on trade if they still had to keep them open during the colder winter months.
