You should have said, I needed a giggle today.... ;)
I really don't like lifts, it turns out I really don't like *heights either. However, I did it, & was very proud of myself.

*I do go to high places, like castles & bridges, but, I have an overwhelming urge to throw myself off high places. A bit like my urge to drive into oncoming lorries..... Yes I know I sound crazy.... Its probably why I jumped off a swing as a kid, standing up, while it was at its highest point....

Ah right got ya. Don't do adverts or racism, so it had passed me by. My only complaint would be that it's a Christmas advert. IN NOVEMBER!!!!!!!
Agree with the November thing, but also why are all the Christmas adverts this year so maudlin???!!!

I expect the ad agencies will have done focus groups which have told them we don't need cheering up this year because everything's been so great.

I do this too! I think it's known as call of the void? But yeah, anywhere near a big drop and I vividly imagine jumping, and oncoming trucks make me curious about the damage I'd do to myself....

I'm the same. I told my sister this when we were at the top of the Eiffel Tower, and was told to get down immediately!

So glad I'm not alone! I always knew it was a thing... Off to look up call of the void...

Wow, well fascinating, but we are both common and normal (always knew I was common), but I didn't know there was a name for it.... l’appel du vide...

My wifes mother died and the funeral is today. I foolishly agreed to be the driver and offered one of her sisters a lift. A sister who talks, and talks, and talks. The funeral is in Essex. Its going to be a long day.

This morning at 0900 (9am) the smoke detector in the kitchen started to give the short beep which means the battery is low.

Now everybody knows that this should occur at 0300 (3am) in order to cause maximum annoyance. Crawling out of bed, stubbing toes finding the step ladder, taking it down and removing the battery and so on. More stubbing of toes followed by an hour trying to get back to sleep.

I've a good mind to complain to the makers about it.

Whilst collecting my “essential” beer takeaway from the Bird this morning I decided to partake of a takeaway breakfast as well.

I had the oatcakes with bacon, sausage, cheese and beans and went and sat in the park to eat it whilst taking Bee for a little walk at the same time. Thoroughly recommended and quite enjoyed sitting in the sun having brekkie.

It would have been better if I could have got a coffee from the park cafe but there were about 15-20 people at the back waiting for coffees and another 5 or 6 waiting to order. At least it was good to see the facility being used anyway.

And NO, I did not take my essential beer shopping into the park at 1030 in the morning :)

I’ve received a Christmas card today. Yes in November.

What on earth is wrong with people?

I’ve written my own cards but I wouldn’t dream of posting them until December, it’s against the rules.
Written mine out today, won't be posting them for ages yet tho.
