You don't think the shoos all being closed had anything to do with that? Next Wednesday the shops reopen again, in the run up to Christmas. Is there not just the slightest possibility that footfall my increase?

I don't believe I've seen any 14 year olds riding the official scooters. But then I've not stopped them and asked to see their ID like you obviously have.

Have to admit I've not really seen the official scooters being ridden in silly way but I do fear for their riders when I see them riding (quite legally) places like Newport Road and the Island at rush hour.

the shoos? if you're that bothered or at risk, wear a mask like others do when outside/in town you can help yourself you know instead of expecting everything/everyone around you to help you- or even do it online like a lot of people do, there's actually no need to go into town really, not stafford town anyway.

Oh and yeah i've asked for every ID because that wouldn't be weird or sad at all, it's pretty easy to tell they're not old enough to be using them, and it seems the only people that do use them is young people that don't use em for what they're actually meant for (not just pissing about)

Get yourself to specsavers love x

Well the one by Glover Street went a good way towards stopping the arseholes driving through the big puddle deliberately to soak pedestrians. Plus the whole lot allowed you to social distance, as you are supposed to, when walking. Otherwise you walk into traffic. All at virtually no cost to the motorist in terms of time lost on a journey.

the ones around Lake Glover were actually dangerous, I saw loads of near misses as cars had to quickly merge lanes as there was no warning coming from Queensway.

...My main problem is those stupid scooters and the 14 year olds that use them somehow

I saw a couple of obvious 14yo 'kids' using those scooters riding/driving on the pavement laughing away on Friday afternoon.

They like to go down radford bank alot

Kids will be kids, fair enough..... until a accident happens or someone gets killed

I think it was safer for motorists and pedestrians when the traffic cones were there. This morning i saw a near miss involving traffic coming from Sainsburys towards Glover Street..a car in the middle lane cut across another to the left nearly forcing it on the path.

There are lots of things wrong with the transport network in Stafford. None of which will get fixed until a proper policy is in place and money to fund it. So that’s never then.

That must surely be something we can all agree on.

Whilst that is, no doubt, generally true. there are many 'small' things that could be fixed quickly and easily by anybody who was allowed to and could be bothered.

Some of these things have gone on for decades.

Exactly. But it seems there is either no appetite in local government to do so or no funding. Or most likely, both.

It'll get worse before it gets better when all these houses are done

Personal experience, I've yet to see an adult using one yet, seen several groups of early to mid teens ish bods larking about on them.
I'd probably be doing the same if I were a lad again.

I have!

Several adults, early 20's to 30' have been coming into my place of work with them. They seem very pleased with them too.

I think theyre great... In the right hands.

My only worry us that I wouldn't hear one whizzing up behind me.

I've yet to have a go myself but I have a friend in his 30's who has been using them as an alternative to taxis and busses between Baswich and the town centre, which is probably a good idea at the moment with covid. I think if you're sensible they're no more dangerous than riding a bicycle on the road.
