Guilty as charged.....were you in my house 2 days ago? Husband was looking for something, I said (knowing it was in the cupboard), 'have you looked in the cupboard'? He says 'Yes', so I say 'But was it a propper look or just a man look'? (a propper look is moving drug about to look, a man look is just opening the door briefly then closing it again!)...I think we can all agree that women are not above a bit of 'banter' on male foibles. In fact, just today i heard for the first time the phrase 'man-scan' - by which i was to understand that the woman saying it had had a quick look for something, not made much of an effort and hadn't found it, so it may well be there if you have a proper, presumably woman-scan.
Man-scan sounds better & I'll use that from now on.
There's the man-flu too, I'm guilty of using that also......
