Stopping people being idiots in shops. That's what's needed. I've been nowhere since march. People just don't give a shit.

Look at those disgusting selfish t**ts in London. Thinking it's a good idea to move to a different area. Absolute bloody genius.
I don't think anyone can really argue with that.

You're all going to die

Mainly from ignorance

Occasionally by accident

Often by another's wrongdoing

But usually by a belief

Held in prejudice

Without sufficient research

Still

I couldn't agree more, 10000 percent.

But... Those of us who work in shops have NO power to tell people what to do or how to do it.

Yesterday, I had an adult male, about 10 years older than me, scream abuse at me for nearly 10 minutes because another customer wasn't wearing a mask, he told me that I was 'farking disgusting for allowing him in the store,, and it's my fault that people are dying from covid', I have no powers to tell that person to put on a mask, I can only offer them a free one if they don't have one, the customer did have a mask, but it had slid down.... The older male came back twice to shout abuse at me, for something I cant control, I ended up calling security to have him removed from the store. Its so intimidating. No one should have to put up with this.

If I had my way, you would all have to queue outside again, only one person per household would be allowed in, if you had no mask you would be deemed vulnerable and at risk so unable to enter my place of work, you would queue to pay... But its not my choice. Profits over people. What the f**k does my opinion matter. None of us workers feel safe.

*not a rant at you @MilleD, just a general rant

For balance on the whole school thing, just like to point out that our family are now on our second Covid scare and it is only due to Spawn3 going to school. I really hope my husband gets the vaccine call soon so I can stop worrying about her coming home and potentially killing her Dad.

What the hell are you on about?

It's nice if you have no knowledge of children using schools as safe places. Lucky you.

Your case stats are utter bull. Try and look at other pieces of the jigsaw.
I am "on about" your post at 6.58pm today which with "Schools ..... are places of safety for loads of kids" suggested that children aren't safe at home irrespective of coronavirus.
If I misinterpreted you I'm sure you can clarify your comments.

Fine. Shut everything down. Create chaos in education, ruin the economy. All the money poured into shutting things down needed to be put into healthcare. But god forbid that would happen.

There's chaos everywhere else so "chaos in education" might be necessary.
It's a fine balance between "ruin the economy" and over a thousand deaths a day.
"Stopping people being idiots in shops. That's what's needed" - yes, but how's that going to happen ?

Yes, that's the problem, schools open means hundreds of extra deaths a day.

Do you understand that yes, some children are not safe at home?

What a lovely little fluffy bubble you live in if that's not the case.

"Schools ..... are places of safety for loads of kids" means that children aren't safe at home.
Is that because their parents are the type of people who "can't be arsed to wear masks or social distance which is the very easiest thing to do"?
It's no coincidence that deaths were ten a day during the summer and 500 a day since schools opened in September and that's why "restricting access to schools" is necessary NOT "utterly pointless"

Its almost as if the spread is exponential isn't it?!?!

Yes, I've always understand that some children are not safe at home but don't accept that as a reason for keeping schools open when it causes hundreds of adults to die from coronavirus each day.
