I'm a LFT team leader.
If you've had your email confirmation then you are booked in - Kingston Centre?
Just bring the print out and your mobile phone.
If you cannot print it out, details can be manually added to on-site form
The barcode is attached at the testing centre.
Barcode on form and one on LFT device to marry you up through the process.
You don't need to stay in your car, you can go home and self isolate until you receive your result - 30 to 40 minutes.
Hopefully I won't be calling you after 20 mins........
Thanks so much @FooFighter . That is helpful  Hopefully son hasn't unknowingly carried the virus back over here when he came at Christmas , and I won't be getting to speak to you on the phone :D

The Pfizer vaccination programme at the County Showground has been arranged by a group of Stafford GP Practices

Does anyone know at this stage if:

The group have cancelled/postponed the 2nd dose as instructed by our incompetent Government ?

The group are defying our incompetent Government and continuing with the 3 week 2nd dose ?

It appears that GP practices around the country are not acting as one on this. Some are cancelling, others are defying

Asking for a former neighbour who lives in Stafford

If our glorious leaders are advising something then chances are they'll advise the opposite next week, so sod it everyone is wrong and nothing is their fault.

The fuckwit Government are now suggesting vaccines can be mixed up

This is another short sighted panic measure likely to involve yet another u turn and add to the already dangerous confusion

Tories are lying bastards , failing to plan, planning to fail

I was getting excited , and less depressed, at the great news that the vaccines were starting to be rolled out. Started visualising us eventually getting out of this mess.
Now all those first Pfizer BioNTech doses administered not being followed up on with a second dose 3 weeks after seems like they might as well have slung them down the bloody sink.

Didn't we buy something like 300m doses? And paid double what the EU did.....

Not much use really though is it?

Cancelled my test now.
Decided as me & hubby going nowhere anyway to avoid coming into contact with virus, even if I am positive we shall be at home all the time as if isolating anyway . (Only place I could have caught it from is if son was unknowlingly carrying it when he came back at christmas. All deliveries , bins etc are being sanitised as well as I could possibly do them.)
Decided as we are staying at home to not risk getting the virus, there's more risk of coming into contact with it whilst attending the testing centre. I know they were really good last time, with a good plan in place on entry / registration for following social distancing etc ...... I still had to walk past 3 other people being tested in the same room to get to my testing table and back out past them again as they had their masks off .
Then a stupid old couple came back into the corridor through the 'out' door , minus their masks, brushing past me looking for the toilets.
I tested negative when I went in for the test, but may well have picked it up on my way out!

As well as not wanting to risk walking or driving there in the ice and snow (I'm a nervous wreck driving in it since someone skidded into me full pelt, whilst I was stationary at a junction , years ago ) Not risking ending up in hospital when I don't have to go out.

I get the delaying part, if you can get upwards of 50% immunity on one dose that's as much as the flu vaccine.

Looks like the unions are going to force them to close all schools on Monday now, which is good. If they stay closed til the 18th we should be in a much better place.

Enjoying a drop of red.

This.

However, the vast majority of us know this, it is logical common sense. So why can't that fuckwit Boris and his minions see it?

It’s worth noting that Boris did not make the decision, the MHRA and JCVI did, both of which are panels of scientists and doctors, not politicians.

Pfizer has come out against it but this could be just covering their asses, there is data in the trials for doses given at much larger timespans IIRC so hopefully that data will be published soon

JCVI Statement, of note it is not unusual for deployment schedules to differ from trials

In short, don’t panic (yet), everyone’s shouting that the government needs to follow the science and the one time they do everyone’s complaining

The vaccine ( Pfizer) cannot be used without a licence

The licence is issued based on evidence of the trials and subsequent results of the set procedures of two doses at fixed intervals

If the Government change any of these protocols they act without authority of a licence

Increased risk then become impossible to estimate because they are unknowns

Panic has set in because Government appears incapable of planning more than a single step ahead

Scenario Planning hasn't existed since the Epidemic began.

Government has learnt nothing from history, not even it's own chaotic history

We've all received emails inviting us for the vaccination. Obviously the vulnerable ones amongst staff will be first in the queue.
I've had the normal flu vaccine loads of times with no problems.
I had the swine flu jab, and was just knocked off my feet 3 days after receiving it.
I don't mind admitting to you all, I'm just a tadge bit nervous.
