The brighter side of lockdown

Mmm, I was about to say that there's a sit-com in all this, then I wondered how the soaps on the telly are coping - are people all masked up when they go into Mr Swindley's shop?
In Corrie they are all entering premises from outside wearing masks. Then taking them off as soon as inside. Then the masks are on , off, on, off

I had to attend a Teams meeting for work this morning on my day off and because my MOT test overran I had to log on whilst sitting in the garage waiting area.

The only problems were that I'd forgotten to take my earphones with me so the whole garage could hear the meeting and also I had to wear a facemask so nobody could understand what I said unless I raised my voice.

All quite strange.
Picturing the scene cheered me up tonight with a good laugh :D

Last night we got her home about 9pm, and she went for a wee on the puppy mat thing. Last night she also needed one, while I was asleep, and went on the mat. This despite the fact she's not house trained. Today she's shat on the rug twice and peed in 4 places, and seems utterly perplexed at us moving her. I guess either yesterday was luck or she's trying to push her boundaries already? Doesn't help that with the snow she's really not keen on outside right now! She is only 8 weeks, I should give her some leeway, but I'm also very aware it's much harder to train it back out later.

A friend trains dogs, she says the pads are actually a bad idea as it normalises going to the toilet in the house. It saves the floor now but it'll take much longer to get her off them, and to take her outside every half hour and praise her loads when she goes. She takes one look at the snow and tries to get back to the radiator though!

Uses the pads or newspaper but place it away from the door at first and then gradually move it closer and closer to the door as time progresses.

Once she's got used to doing her business on the pads or paper move them outside and she'll soon get the idea after a couple of weeks.

Don't punish her if she does it in the house as they learn from praise and routine rather than chastisement.

Had this fella follow me and Bee on our walk today.

He flew from telegraph pole to telegraph pole as we walked and then followed my car at a height of about 10 feet along the road until I reached the main road.

I’m not sure if he thought we were a potential Happy Meal or whether was just defending his telegraph poles.

After a strenuous afternoon on the bench job, I decided to go for a walk, as the drizzle had stopped - and I'm rarely walking more than 50 yards at a time these days.

It seems to have been very wet in the night - the rapids have come up a bit.

Moving on a few yards from there, I stopped to investigate the Hollow Tree, when I realised that things had gone all "My Lovely Horse"...

Had chance to sort out family photos and now looking at old papers saying from 1880s from my great grandad in Ireland.. Sooo much stuff
Doing the same here - a couple of days ago, I found an odd picture someone had taken, back in the 90s I suspect, from the petrol prices,

On her way back from the supermarket, with two bags of shopping and a pitchfork.

Early practice for keeping other shoppers at two metres?
