Husband has just had a text through on my phone , from GP surgery, saying he's eligible for a vaccination and to ring them for an appointment.

So a different system from my just one attempted call from them.

He's 63 (but has heart condition so that must make him eligible )

He's got his at County Showground on Monday afternoon.

Mrs Noah got her jab at the Showground today (AZ again so they are clearly using both as available). All three of us have been told 12 weeks between jabs and that the surgery will contact us with the new appointments.

We had Pfizer there yesterday.

I’ve just had a letter from NHS asking me to either book an appointment online or through my gp or a “community pharmacy”. Only need a text & ive had the full set. (P. S. No health problems etc)

Mrs Noah is booked for her jab tomorrow. So me last Sunday, her son on Monday and she on Friday,

Mrs Noah & her son have now received letters asking them to book appointments for a first vaccination slot!

Mrs Noah & I are fine, her son is feeling a bit under the weather.

I've just had a bit of an ache in my arm , but not really that noticable . Other than that I've had no side effects with the Pfizer one.

Never thought I'd actually be so excited and looking forwards to going for a jab . Enjoyed having a drive up to the showground , seemed like a big adventure actually getting out of the house and speaking to someone other than hubby for a change!

I've insisted I'm on 'chauffeur duty' tomorrow to take hubby for his jab.

They are rattling through the jabs now. My Mum & Dad were done yesterday, Father-in-Law had his today. Mum dropped lucky, she wasn't actually due hers yet (only just though, she is 64). My Dad's appointment was late in the day & he jokingly asked if they had got any vaccinations spare. Turns out that had got two left over, Mum was waiting outside so they called her in & did her too. The guy behind my Dad in the queue got his missus done as well with the last vaccine.

I asked about this last week as a family member +50 in the at risk group hasn't been called yet, they wouldn't take his details because of where he lives but they have a list of people who they will call at the end of the day - they need people to be able to get there within 10 minutes and said that need to be in a group that's due/nearly due.

I'm having my vaccine today, I'm only just 50, and wasn't listed as vulnerable enough to shield.

We are doing so well over here in the UK . Well done to everyone involved!

Hubbys boss over in Germany has just been on the phone. He's classed as vulnerable , yet he's been given a date of 2024 for theirs . He said the European Union has not been so good at organising the vaccine roll-out.

Hope it goes well @littleme . Are you at the showground? Hubby has his done there today at 1.24pm. He's only 63 , vulnerable grouo , but not vulnerable enough to shield .

Similar thing happened with my folks. Dad (67) got a call for his and he asked if mum could have her booking alongside him even though she hadn’t been called yet and they were able to go in together (though not the same time slot, of course). It’s nice to see so many loved ones, friends and other people’s folks getting their first jabs now.

Going for my first rapid test tomorrow (ahead of the funeral I previously mentioned), I know the thought of it is probably worse but I’m not looking forward to it XD

They aren't as bad as made out, worst part for me was understanding the guy in a full respirator telling me what to do!

How's it work with 2 different vaccines being given when it comes to the 2nd dose?

Do you get called up according to what vaccine is at the vaccination site that day , or given either for the second dose?
