Fair enough, the brash is always a pain, we trimmed the silver birch a few weeks ago and there was more of that than proper wood!

1st day back at work after my Covid jab exploits, thought I was ok, but boy did it take it out of me... Shattered.

I took the car out for its (approximately) weekly loosening-up spin this morning. I deliberately drove the full length of a road that Google Traffic has declared to be 'closed' for about three years now, despite me assuring them that it is fully open and has been for at least the last two years.

I called in at a Wilkinson's-type shop for some cheapo paintbrushes and came out with an Alan Partridge Alpha Papa DVD.

That's tonight sorted out, if I finish the painting job in time, of course.

After jumping on the scales and finding the weight has started creeping back on , decided I'd better get back into my dieting and walking mode.
Forced myself to get out there, but ended up enjoying the walk so much I just kept going, going, going.....
Ended up pacing it for 3 & 1/4 hours and doing 13.4 miles in total including lots of steep hills. :)

Got me back into my 'being good' mode . Just got to resist the ciders tonight now .......

Aren't people supposed to be cutting back on alcohol if they've recently had the jab in order to help tge body build up immunity for the first week or two?

Must go now, I've a bottle of red to uncork...

A lot of garbage has been written about this but there is some evidence that the equivalent of 1 pint of beer a day helps boost the immune response while the equivalent of 4 pints a day suppresses it. So it's pot luck with 2 or 3 pints then.

Oooh dear! :hmm: I've managed to resist :pint:tonight , so thinking I may have to resist for the next week (or so) to average it down to 1 pint a day ....

Chose the wrong time to have a ' Fine Wine ' delivery of 12 bottles the other day

As I understand it, there is no evidence that alcohol consumption impacts on the efficacy of the vaccine. Indeed, no restrictions, regarding alcohol consumption, were placed on those people who participated in the trials.

So, eat drink and be merry.

Also I don't recall reading anything on the papers they give you to read before the jab about not drinking.

To be honest I'm not drinking very much indoors at the moment anyway so shouldn't impact on the vaccine in any case.
