I thought Dumpton was perfect for kids. And promoting the LE Velocette Noddy Bike was inspiring. (I used to ride one long ago.)

Can't wait for the sequel. :heyhey::P

We can get him a companion now and not worry about them multiplying!
Reminds me of when me and my brother had a gerbil each when we were kids. Were told they were 2 males. Soon found out different after letting them out to play together in the lounge. Luckily my dad was able to take the baby gerbils to school , and most of his class ended up gaining a new family pet (or more) over the years. :)

Enjoying a drop of red.
Had a good look under the trailer to see how I was going to dismantle the brake. Nothing really seemed amiss so I thought I'd give things a good squirt of WD-40 first. Searched for about half an hour and couldn't find any so cycled up to the garage and bought a tin.

On arrival home of course the first thing I saw in the garage was my old can of WD. Anyway a quick squirt and some activation of the mechanism resulted in everything freeing up nicely, so I'll call that a win.

Found something else I'm completely useless at....wrapping wraps. :ohno:

After last nights first ever attempt turned into piles of broken up mess on the plate , son made a demonstration video for me... Made it look so easy!
Unfortunately my tonights attempt came out equally disastrous , with the whole lot collapsing yet again before the first mouthful and yet again resorting to knife and forks . Decided the last 4 in the packet are just going to be put flat on a plate with the topping on top. Much easier!

First time I've ever bought them , and will be the last. Give me good old beans on toast anyday!

Are you wrapping them in advance?

We make the sauce then put the pan (or a dish) on the table.
Then we put the heated wraps on a separate plate.
Then in separate dishes we have soured cream chopped up cucumber and salad.

We then take our wraps ONE AT A TIME then put on a layer each of sauce, cucumber, sour cream then roll it up and eat it before making the next one.
I think if you wrap them all together then the sauce will make the wrap soggy.
That’s the way we do it anyway, I’m sure the others have got different ideas for you.

In my family I'm the one who's well known for forgetting birthdays, anniversary etc. The carer knows the exact date we met, where we went on our first date, what we ate etc etc etc...

Every year I get our wedding anniversary wrong by at least one day, I think its the day after it was as the date we went to the carribean sticks more than the wedding, I forget to book the day off, and I'm generally rubbish at remembering it.

This year I made a concerted effort to remember, managed to sneak out to get a card yesterday (anniversary is today), was refused today off, but managed to get tommorow off...

I got up at 5.30am sneakily wrote my card & left it in the kitchen for the carer when he gets up...

Only he got up before I left for work...

I proudly present him with his anniversary card, he seems puzzled but rummages about in the kitchen and hands me mine. He's looking at me very funnily & I assume he's amazed that I've remembered, probably astounded....

Off I go to work... He texts, mid afternoon to say he's been to Eccleshall to buy me propper faggots & him steak for our anniversary tea, then he appears mid afternoon to buy red wine to make gravy.... I've been busy telling everyone how amazing I am for remembering my anniversary and how astounded he is.... He speaks to some of my colleagues, still has this strange look on his face though.... I presume he thinks I'm a truly wonderful, thoughtfull wife and he can't believe how lucky he is...

I get home, tell him how much I'm looking forward to my 15yr anniversary tea, & he says...

'YOU DO KNOW ITS TOMORROW DON'T YOU'?!

I did make them seperate. Heated the wrap , put the chopped up salad on and then chicken and onions (cooked in hoisin sauce) on top of salad . Then folded bottom over, started wrapping .......looked like going well , until the wrap split at the bottom as soon as I started rolling it. Then it wouldn't stay together as started eating, and just disintegrated . Maybe I'm putting too much filling in at once?

I can not make wraps to save my life, we have them once every 2 weeks when I work a late Friday night & the carer makes them!

Possibly, or perhaps too much liquid in the sauce/filling.
Or perhaps not the right sort of wrap?
Which make of wrap did you buy?
Tesco Wholemeal Tortilla Wraps.

Son uses them and is sussessful every time. (Although he's making hundreds at work every day so can do it with his eyes closed)

I shouldn't have really been surprised I'm useless at it though. My present wrapping skills are more or less as bad. At least I can use miles of sellotape to keep that wrapping paper on

Just need edible sellotape !
