Can't see this being mentioned but...

The Devil's Taphouse on Newport Road are opening a bottle shop 2 doors down where a Central Heating company are currently based (so the barbers will be between the 2 sites...).

The Co-op florist on Salter Street are relocating to the Co-op in Wildwood....

There's a new market type affair opening on Foregate street, might be worth a look in when it opens.

I will be a regular visitor. I want to buy a blade machine from there and I will buying all my kegs for my man cave from their too. A great addition to Stafford.

Something might be happening in the vacant unit between Aldi & B&M on Kingsmead. Walked past today & there were a couple of guys going in & out. According to the signage on their van they were from a commercial decorating company.

I want it to be used for a leisure use - indoor play area; crazy golf; climbing wall etc etc. Stafford has very few leisure facilities.

That would be a relatively sensible thing, though not sure the unit between the two is big enough for all that... the old M&S would be a better place and would also bring footfall to the high street. Leisure and hospitality are basically the future of the British high street if it wants to survive

However right now the entire LBE/FEC (Location Based Entertainment/Family Entertainment Center) industry is hanging on by a thread after the last 12 months of basically no revenue, so I’d be surprised if we saw any new developments like that except for very, very big organisations any time soon

Yes, there is definately something going on with that unit. Went past there again today & all of the windows have now been screened. There are also signs in the windows directing deliveries round the back.

WOW !! ... a Mamod steam engine !!! I had one of those when I was a kid. I found if you got rid of the little pan burner, and used a blowlamp, you could get it up to Warp Factor 9. The was until the cylinder blew off the side and smashed a pane of glass in our kitchen cabinet (remember them ... :hmm: )

My Mum was extremely unimpressed.

SNAP !! .... (except I got mine from Bagnalls when it was in South Walls, which you're too young to remember. (Logs in a good brown nose practice for the piccalilli.)
