R. I. P Paul Ritter, an amazing comedian and only 54, taken way too soon.

Good actor too. In 'Chernobyl' he played a very distasteful character who took much of the blame for the event, although he wasn't aware of the design flaw in the reactor itself. This flaw would have gone unnoticed but for the reactor being put in perilous condition.

Had a walk up the country lanes just now and through Coppenhall, enjoyed it God that wind really is punishing! My face feels like I fell asleep against a block of ice dor the night.

Side note, I've turned off autocorrect on all my devices as I had developed some bad habits from not having to type stuff perfectly so apologies if my posts are full of typos for a day or two. I've already had correct things 7 times in the course of this post.

One of our rabbits had a mammary tumour removed today. She survived the anesthetic which is a major thing in rabbits, but it was a somewhat enormous bill for a rabbit that is nearing 7. Felt like the right thing to do as she is still very sprightly but we need to have an NHS for elderly rabbits!

When I got Rune our cat 3 months ago I vowed I wouldn't do the following..

- Let him sleep on our bed
- Give him meaty pouches (biscuits are just fine!)
- Pander to his every whim

I now do all of the above, including buying him fresh chicken from the supermarket as a meal topping!

He's currently sat on me as I twist my arm backwards to type this so I don't disturb his nap....

Ours is nine years old this week but being half wild he still acts young.

I’m aware you do now give him wet food but as a PSA for everyone: dry food is absolutely not enough for a cat’s diet. That kind of diet does horrendous things for their fur, when we got Bloo he had been on a diet of entirely dry and had a horrible, matted coat and needed a lot of filling out due to how skinny he was.

He’s now on 3 sachets a day (he’s a big cat) plus biscuits and looks miles better. Cats need fish oil (yeah make sure they get some fish wet food every now and then) for their coat, and they’re obligate carnivores so the minimal amount of meat flavouring in most dry food isn’t remotely enough

Not wanting to wash your car because it will only get dirty again is a bit like saying there’s no point making your bed in the morning because it’s only going to get messed up again at night.

Spouting nonsense since the day I learned to talk

My sentiments entirely. I clean the inside but what is the point of cleaning the outside?

Do you wash your plates or cutlery after use? After all, they will only get dirty again.

Dirt and especially salt can damage the bodywork which can mean an MOT fail. Accumulated brake dust within the wheels can cause brakes to squeal and not perform to their specifications. Dirty headlamps, tail lights and number plates are also liable to see you receive a fine from the police.

Plus a clean car looks good even though you know you it will get dirty again.

Normally the inside of mine is worse than the outside as the OH occasionally washes it. I have been much better since I got my new car, although the boot is full of grass from the golf course.
