That reminds me. There's a company called Cobra GermSlayer who I bought three big pump bottles of alcohol-based sanitiser from online last year (for entrances at home) when you couldn't find any anywhere. The stuff seemed to work well and I had no problems with the product.

Then, a few months later when it was still tough to come by, I got an email from them saying they were now accepting part-exchange as payment for their bottles of sanitiser, including cars and houses. o.O

Has anyone gotten a leftover from a Stafford jab centre so far? Or heard anything about a reserves list?

I’d be up there within 20 minutes no matter the time of day...

Holmcroft had spare jabs a week ago, but you still had to qualify. I was allowed mine early because I had asthma? Apparently could have had it ages ago!

I guess the actual leftovers are just whoever happens to be accompanying someone and that kind of thing then?

I’m not trying to jump the queue in place of someone more in need of course, but if there’s one that’s gonna be chucked out because nobody was around... currently my second shot will be October as it stands

We haven't been allowing people to be accompanied unless there is a vulnerability. There's only 6 in a AZ vial, so towards the end of the day they start sharing them rather than opening new ones. The most I've seen left over is 2, and at that point the nurse has called the standby list.

I doubt the 12 week gap will stay as they run through the cohorts, as there will be less left to vaccinate. Plus, if you have the Jansen one you only need 1 dose.

Good info, thanks. And yeah hopefully JnJ will be able to export to us soon...

Though the 12 week gap thing will potentially stay as AZ are now saying it’s more effective at 12 weeks than 4 aren’t they?

The only thing the carer did was to keep checking eventbrite daily, eventually spaces show up....

https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/covid-19-vaccinations-at-stafford-county-showground-tickets-149715365689?aff=erelexpmlt
Apparently a few people from our surgery (Great Haywood) have been turned away from the showground when they've made appointments via eventbrite (even though they're otherwise eligible for the jab) because the surgery isn't registered with the showground & their appointments haven't shown up. If I'd had my jab through the surgery I would have had to go to Cannock. It might be worth checking with your surgery. '

I have a vaccination centre right round the corner, but they still sent me to the showground!

Here in lies the issues with the 2 seperate systems. I don't think you'd actually be eligible through the central network either by what you've said, as even those on inhalers now aren't all.
