Here in lies the issues with the 2 seperate systems. I don't think you'd actually be eligible through the central network either by what you've said, as even those on inhalers now aren't all.

I've not needed an inhaler since I was a teenager, god knows why I was allowed it.

Same here, had asthma, eczema and hay fefer as a teenager, eczema appears every now & again, Hay fevers been back for the last few years... Seems worse every year too.

I found it strange that I was contacted to have a early vaccine before my age range as I was 'vulnerable', but I was never vulnerable enough to shield, and our work sheilders (older, iller than me) had their vaccine after me....

Been feeling lousy the last few days, and still worried i'll somehow catch covid even though I've had my jab, so did yet another test. Negative. Guess I'll carry on feeling lousy then....

I have a friend, early 50s, who did not take up their initial offer of a jab because they are an arse but have now decided it might be a good idea. Can they go the Eventbrite route or is that only for under 50s now?

I'm sure they can go down that route or the NHS system which will give them a second appointment at the same time.

My neighbour had a call yesterday and had his today. From what I'm hearing you get a few days notice at the most.

I'm wondering when I'll hear about my 2nd jab, no appointment was made at my first jab, it's due shortly.

I rang the doctors surgery , Said I could get a phone call anytime from now until 6thMay when the 12 weeks is up for my 2nd Pfizer.

Daren't book anything for hubby's week off at end of April ( week 11) incase the call comes at short notice.

Despite hubby having his 1st booked through the GP at the showground , with him having AstraZeneca he was able to book online for Kingston centre exactly 11 weeks after when he's off work.

They have asked you not to do that as they will receive vaccine doses based on the number of 1st jabs they gave out.

My neighbour had his yesterday, 10 and a half weeks afterwards and another friend is going today, exactly 11 weeks.

My surgery put this online.

We are receiving an overwhelming number of phone calls regarding the Covid vaccinations. Please be patient, we will contact all patients to book when they become eligible. We are currently contacting patients to book both 1st and 2nd vaccinations in the designated clinics; now targeting anyone over 40 years or 18+ with underlying health conditions. Should you choose to go on holiday during this period and miss the allocated session you will risk going over the recommended 12 week time frame. We can not facilitate earlier appointments - 2nd vaccine deliveries are in line with 1st vaccines given. Please only contact us regarding your vaccine if we have asked you to book.

I am part of the ONS study and do monthly swab tests. We are now providing bloody samples to test for anti bodies. My 1st test is positive. This was done approx 4 weeks following my 1st AZ jab

What's the timeframe for reaching full protection after the second jab, does anybody know? I presume there will be a delay, like with the first, but just wondering if already having some antibodies in your system speeds it up at all.

A friend who works in the NHS thinks that we will have a fairly good summer but at least one more lockdown is highly likely this year. Boris really should never had said there will be no more and this is an "irreversible" process, such a stupid thing to do.

The general view seems to be around a fortnight for things to work, but there is no guarantee of 'full protection' at any stage.
