Been to the main Tesco today to stock up with wine (while it is 25% off). Still seems very well organised and I saw only 3 people without masks whilst I was in there.

Just been into both Tesco and Asda and glad to see the majority of people wearing masks. The exceptions being mostly the under 25s and few brainless oldies who didn't look like they would know how to wear a mask properly anyway.

Also went to the Bird yesterday and it is table service and no standing at the bar. Pleased to see Terry enforcing the mask policy for those who stood up without putting a mask on.

Personally speaking, I think Sainsburys should have kept the queueing system going for a lot longer.
It's been a free for all so far as moving round the place. I wear my mask, sanitise as and when I can, and try to avoid other customers like the plague.
I'm heading back to work on Wednesday after having had 19 lovely long days off work. Just hope my boss insists we keep the masks etc. Haven't had any health problems since we started wearing them, and at times I do seriously hate them. But believe they're necessary.

Do we really need all this 'hygiene theatre' stuff now? Covid is an airborne virus and it's more likely to catch it via someone breathing or coughing on you than anything else.

I thought though it's transmitted by air you are more likely to touch a surface it is on and then yourself than actively breathe it in? I'm unlikely to cough on you, but if I cough on the weetabix in Tesco then you better hope you're a sugar puffs kinda guy.

EDIT: Of course once masks are gone the odds start increasing that yeah, I'll cough on you.

Went to Asda earlier, i would say about 40% of people i saw were wearing were wearing masks.
Only 40%?

Probably 60% in Sainsbury, but the demographic is older, and those that didn't wear a mask still kept up the social distancing.

I think it’s still up in the air but from what I’ve heard fomite transmission seems to be incredibly overblown compared to air transmission

Here's a question. Is there ANYBODY in this government who knows what the person standing next to them is doing. Brian Rix must be turning over in his grave, he's being out-farced.

Asda mostly OK, same with Aldi. It's almost always the younger not wearing them, so I guess M&S will be OK too.
The Aldi by Radford bank had most of the staff without masks before the restrictions were even lifted.
Today not one member of staff wearing a mask at the time I went in , and only a couple of customers with masks.
Co-op was the same again today , when I nipped in quickly for one item not available in Aldi...
CO-OP used to have 2 sanitiser stations by the door. Today it only had the one empty bottle of hand sanitiser , the other station was empty.
Still got no entry signs on the exit door , but people were walking out of the entry door.

Got the sense of people think it's all over & back to normal ! It was lots of the older customers not social distancing in any way as well. Seem to think because they are double jabbed , that's it....safe :ohno:
