A couple of years ago, my husband asked me where I’d like to go for a meal on our wedding anniversary. I chose my favourite place and to his credit, he didn’t complain (much). On a cold night in late October we ate at one of the outdoor tables, wearing coats, gloves and hats. The battery-powered candle added a sense of occasion.
It was the first place I wanted to visit after lockdown, although I’m not a fan of the new buns and have to stipulate ‘traditional’ when I order my bean burger.
