I'm just quoting what it says in the article, "Stafford (324.2 to 519.4) is now the third fastest rising area in the entire country, behind two areas of Wales."

I had noticed a pretty big spike on the Covid ZOE app 'local area' data recently but was hoping it was an anomaly.
Ooops, my apologies, I didn't read the article, just the line birmingingham 3rd....and someone told me today that stafford is 5th...

Should listen more in class, and read articles properly ....

By the number of non-mask wearers in the local shops , lots not bothering with social distancing anymore at tills , and absence of hand or trolley sanitiser at the entrance to the Co-op tonight (I got my own sanitiser out of my bag and smeared it all over the trolley handles once inside )
I'm not surprised that our local area is way at the top of the infection rate figures and way above England average....

Yeah, I mean at least we have the vaccine and some of those are likely schoolkids so it's not as bad as it could be but it's not encouraging either. I'm thinking of putting my Odeon membership on pause again.

Neighbour's son at home having tested positive, neighbour has gone out to work today.
Same at the carers place of work, staff members husband tested posative this morning, silly moose went into work anyway without doing a test, was promptly sent home & asked to do a pcr by the carer.

I really don't fancy another stay in hospital.

We're the 5th top in the list for rising cases apparently, something to be proud of once again!

Wonder why.

As long as your neighbour has a negative LFT, then he's within his rights under the current regs.
Under current law as long as double Jabed don't even need to do that.
I could be wrong but it looks to me that the current aim is to slowly expose everybody to the virus to achieve maximum levels of immunity/protection than treat it as a common cold.

Could this be because we had higher levels of compliance than other areas during the last 18 months so fewer people have had the virus so there are more people to catch it?
On the plus side we have a high vaccine uptake so cases will be overwhelmingly mild and once naturally exposed your unlikely to contract again

'The population' don't seem too bothered about that aspect.

We seem to accept over 100 a day at present. We were slower than other countries to vaccinate the 12 - 16s so now we play catch up. Its been said before, everyone will be exposed to Covid and there is a big pool of unvaccinated all congregating together in the schools. How quickly it burns though is yet to be seen
