Israel: Victim or Terrorist?

To be fair, I do think that Lunar Scorpion's position on this is fairly apparent. Questioning Isreali actions is not something that is often done by their supporters and she does give a link to the Palestine Solidarity Campaign - again, a bit of a clue there.

Extremely violent victims? They said they weren't happy with the proposals, we walked away. We knew it'd cause a war, putting them two together, but did it anyway. What a suprise, they started killing each other, one of them had to get the upper hand. Would Palestine have walked away, if they'd been the mightier?

Has each of the breaches in ceasfire been started by Hamas rocket attacks, or have Israel instigated some too? A quick search (I'm at work) seems to show Israel responding to attacks, albeit responding with a missile to swat a fly. Cos firing rockets from a heavily populated area then crying when civvies get hit in the response fire is just plain fecking stupid. They know Israel will fire back, they know Israel will kill civilians, they still do it.


On the flip side, Israel are way too heavy handed and trying to reclaim more land under the guise of retaliation. You know why? Cos nobody will stop them. Why would they, the major players here sell them the weapons, and there's a recession on so we need the money. They have free reign, and crap as it is as long as they don't start killing middle class white people our governments will just stand back and watch. They need something to stop them, just like Great Britain did when we stomped across the world doing it to anyone we met. If the UN won't act, nobody will. So they carry on, because they have a free run.

I feel Israel are the bad guys here , bullys if you will. They want ( and have for a bloody long time) a piece of land which they seem to believe is theres by right . The palestine folk are non too happy and the extremist hamas team are getting a bit heavy handed about it and resiting any attempt to give it up . The general approach used by many poorly labelled folk called terrorists for want of another word .

Thing is what weare really talking about here is RELIGION the whatever of the masses as whatever his name was called it Opiate ? yep .. anyway as usual people are disagreeing with which club people should belong to depending on where they were born or now live . The result sadly as ever is conflict "my religion is better than yours/My army is stronger than yours " etc etc .. Might does not mean right . Right does not necessarily mean something of great might either . However in the case of this conflict the big boys seem to think they have the right idea and are forcing the younger kids into something they dont want . The younger kids have a small gang that have got together and said we arent taking this and have no choice but to retaliate and are doing so in a very extreme way as thats all small teams can do to create the biggest impact with the smallest number in the quickest amount of time .

Theres never going to be a winner here theres just pain because people cant for some unexplainable reason co exist and respect each others clubs and get on with their lives in peace . Or was that too hippy? dunno ..

also if you are religious /christian whatever is it not true that palastine was given to the Jewish people by God as their right ? To be in forever ( which Tbf is most likely why people have been trying to shift them from it for ever ! again that depends on your belifes/views obviously !




If we leave them to it they will fight forever, their generations will fight and we will still not understand . If we intervene then one of them is not going to like whats happening . My personal opinion is that The bigger team need to get the arses off the field and in the shower and abandon the match . Of course then how could they save face having lost to the little team ?

And who? is going to tell them ? the UN? methinks not ..too many associated issues .
even then who is prepared to deal with the aftermath of all this ?
who really knows what the aftermath would involve ?

On the other hand all this could be just a bunch of insane ramblings with no truth or foundation to REALLY back it up

But then isn't that what most religion is based on ?

All very sad and to be honest as I always say if you meddle in the middle east there are always other casualities so most likely people will leave alone to avoid anything outside the two countries .

Seems that now Bin Laden wants to kick off on them too. Well I suppose they are the America of the Middle East, be interesting to see how they react to a few properly organised attacks.

You can't have sympathy for people being treated as they treat others. I'm just curious how they'll react.

As Israel's responses to attacks always seems to be wholly disproportionate, it's actually quite a scary thought.

But react against who? They can't hit Al Queda (unless they know about the secret underground lair ), but will it make them back off or hit Gaza harder? Lets face it, they don't have the 'restraint' the west has. Probably not the right word, how about an example.

Take Northern Ireland, and the 'troubles'. We sit there getting shot at, but refuse to give it up. Would they just invade it and kill anyone who fought back? Carpet bomb it as a big Feck You to the people they are fighting? The problem is we pretend to show a lot of compassion for the innocents we murder, they pretend to show less.
