I was at a friend's house recently and she had this thing sitting about. It's something her grandfather brought back from a holiday years ago and is lacquered, hence the shine. We're trying to figure out what the hell is it...suggestions so far range from some kinda ray fish to a cuttlefish, but having looked about on the web we can't find anything resembling this submarine oddity...

Any ideas??

I could be some kind of amalgamation. However it could just be a Squid that has been dried and its beak now looks mouth like.

Yep...gotta be the same thing. When you google 'nixes' though there's nowt to tell you wtf it is!
