Incident by Stafford gaol?

Any one know what happened there?
The roads blocked from county rd right down to the lights at goal square, lots of police and police cars, all taped off and bollards and blue lights probably from last night

We helped out last night, 2 seperate groups of people had been beat up within 100 metres of each other, A group of 4 and a man by himself. Man by himself was worse and was an ambulance job, we just hope he'll be ok. Police said it was a crime scene after that and started taping everything off.

Was hard work getting an ambulance as it was a busy night for them.

Don't quite understand why people feel the need to wreck a good night out by doing moronic things like picking on people! Hopefully they'll get whats coming to them.

about half 2ish this morning. After they said we could go we got in at about 4.

really hope so, just happened to be outside of both main doors to the prison so you'd think there would be something.

I've heard from a friend of a friend that something serious went on there. Yes, I would have thought there were CCTV cameras capturing it all, especially beings as it's a prison and all...

My brother ,a council gritter,was supposed to be gritting a car park at County Road this morning and the police told him he couldn't as they had found a mans body and they had sealed off the area.
They wouldn't tell him any more info though!

Just to clarify, the man was alive and kicking but in a bad way when he went to hospital. Heard from the police that took statements from us today that he is still in a bad way.

I'm so glad my brother was mis-informed by the police and the man hadn't actually been found dead!I Hope the poor bloke pulls through.

Hope you don't mind, age'd parent; I wouldn't normally be so pedantic, but I thought I had better change it in case anyone was looking for the thread by doing a keyword search on "gaol". :)

I've heard a conversation that reffered to it saying on the radio news, that a man died after being stabbed on gaol road in Stafford.... don't know how true this is though. Anybody else heard anything?

Never realised it was Salty. The guy gave me a free half hour lesson once with a bigger power kite than i owned, and taught me how to get my legs clear from the ground - I s**t myself but the adrenalin buzz was great! The guy didn't even personally know me though, he just saw me flying and gave me some pointers.... a REALLY nice bloke.
Wish him a very speedy recovery!
