Super Radio Stafford - Stafford's own radio station!

proactive

Enjoying a drop of red.
Tuned in at lunchtime as I was out on the road (normally it's breakfast time or evening if I tune in). Don't know the name of the lady who was DJing but I'm afraid her amateurish attempts at reading the weather, miss-announcing the next track and generally cringe-worthy 'chat' made me tune in to something else.

You'll struggle to attract more listeners and the increased advertising revenue that come with them with programs of that standard I'm afraid.

Usually girls stick together - Girl power and all that, but I must agree with John, it's not the best.

Would you be the best, the 1st time you did it?

Might you be, the 101st time?

In the circumstances i personally think a bit more slack should be cut here.

Earlier in this thread I said:
I for one would appreciate continuing forum warnings of upcoming 'stuff'.
Which may, or may not, have contributed to continuing forum warnings of upcoming stuff. But i, after all, is only one, so if others are getting a bit pissed off with it then that's fair enough. But, quite apart from the fact that this is the second sentence i've begun with the word 'but', i don't see it as that big a deal.

Beginning sentences with the word 'but', however... :grr:

I wouldn't claim to be the best, but I would hope to be significantly better than some I could mention. Please bear in mind Withnail this is merely personal opinion - you can't please all of the people all of the time. Don't take it to heart when people's opinions differ from your own.
Looking at some of your previous compositions it would seem that you would argue black was white presumably with the sole intention of provoking an argument.
You are welcome to the rangers updates, and it's good that someone's got a radio station up and running but as super Radio pointed out they want feedback, good or bad. It's the only way this thing will improve.

I won't, and don't

i'm fairly sure you're confusing me with someone else - but it is Wednesday

i agree.

I would think some updates for shows would be appreciated as long as they were included as parts of thread discussions rather than a cut and paste job that stands like a huge billboard blocking our path to discussion.

Kind of tailored to suit the thread?

Looking at some of the feedback on here, i don't know why you just don't grab your pitchforks and head off down to the station now.

I was just thinking something along those lines! Can't say I've listened to the station myself, but it can't be worse than signal 1, beacon, kerrang, radio 1 etc, surely?

Has the pitchfork brigade already got there 'cause my stream's stopped?

Anyone else struggling to listen in?

I'm getting an intermittent sound problem here - not getting to hear complete words let alone sentences :/

Same here now. The start jingle works fully, but then just half-second bursts of sound...

That's a bit unfair. :(

Super-radio-stafford asked for feedback, and people have been very forthcoming with it. A lot of it has been very positive, and as I say most people round here are very supportive and wish the station all the best!

Stafford Forum has done its best to help promote the station, and continues to do so, so now it's up to Super Radio Stafford to increase their listening figures by taking onboard feedback and giving the listeners what they want. :)

I'm all for constructive criticism but this is just petty.

If you don't like it then don't listen to it, simple.

All I pick up on this page is negativity.

Well said the Gov !

I'm also fed up with the incessant, uninspiring posts - and I've never heard Stafford Forum mentioned on air once (but then again I've got pretty bored listening recently). At least this Forum has plenty of followers, on Shoutcast there are usually only ever 6 listeners !
Super Radio has plenty of followers on the Stafford Remembered facebook page. You should try listening to Mark Mac's 70's show on a Sunday at 18:00 and watching the comments on the Stafford Remembered page. It's a very popular show.
