Hi lozzer, welcome to Stafford Forum. :)

I have merged your thread with the existing Super Radio Stafford thread. As you can see, plenty of people round here know about it, and listen regularly! We've even got a button at the top-left, so if you set Stafford Forum as your home page, you can click straight from here to listen. :D

I have it on now and then and quite like the reduced chatter format. Tomorrow, I intend to remedy my serial failure to listen to Eric and Jake on a Tuesday from 6 to 8 in the evening...

We'll see if I manage it..
Well I have managed to remember and, although I struggled to get a link that worked, I would like to say thanks for pushing our little event in March.

Right, I want to make a point here. You are all on STAFFORD forum, yet instead of backing up the county town you prefer to slag it off. Why don't you call yourself 'Cannock or Stoke' forum and therefore you're negativity, destructive, juvenile and down right malicious comments would be understandable. I know I have put you all in one basket with my comments and I do appologise for this, but it would appear that the some people on this site are not true Staffordians or a lover of the county town because if they were they would not allow so many defamatory comments to be made against our great town.

You know you are a Staffordian when you cannot bear to hear negative comments about your home (but you acknowledge constructive criticism).

support your local radio, paper, television etc. stop looking for faults start being constructive and look to promote Stafford.

Be proud of your town, be proud of your people and FFS stop moaning.

Mrs M, I'm not sure why you have taken such umbrage with this thread! There has been far more support in here than negativity. In the first few pages alone I just found:

Looking forward to it! When it's up a running can we get a permenant link to it on the header to the forum that appears on every page. Encourage more people to listen?
There were many more, but those were the first two I copied & pasted. As I have said in previous posts, I personally have gone out of my way to help make Super Radio Stafford a success, modifying my own Forum so that it has a banner advertising them and providing a link to them for all our users.

Super-radio-stafford asked for feedback, and that's exactly what this thread is full of! If everyone just said "Oh, you're brilliant!" then how on Earth could they be expected to improve? As said before, we all love Stafford or we wouldn't be here, and (disregarding the odd negative ninny) the vast majority of responses in this thread are in support of Super Radio Stafford, or offering suggestions as to how they can improve.

Lately i've found that the home page the link er links to doesn't actually start the station playing - i'm guessing this is due to changes at super radio stafford's end.

How do you tune in if you can't at the web site?

Edit: it appears to be that way only when i use Chrome - so it's almost certainly my fault.

Anything negative in the slightest Mrs M, has been said for constructive reasons only. When I on occasions DO receive negative feedback about my computer work, I take it on board and strive to do something about it - and that's why I am as popular now as I am today... and hopefully the same will apply to Super Radio.

Steady on Withnail Mrs M will have you for this!

Maybe she should start a new thread entitled 'nice comments only about super Radio / Mark Mac's 70's show' I pity the fool who strays there with negativity or constructive criticism!

Well, I have to say, this isn't very encouraging, Super-radio-stafford:

I don't expect everyone to like The Forum, that would be very naïve. But I have put a lot of effort in to helping and promoting your radio station, as have many other Forumites. This thread was even started by someone else, hoping to help you get off the ground before you had even started! Not to mention the people in this thread who have offered to volunteer and help.

And yet you, Super-radio-stafford, "Like" this comment?

I appreciate that Super-radio-stafford isn't one individual, and I suspect that all of this negativity is because of one person (perhaps because they don't understand how the Internet works and are misconstruing the way things interact with one another). As I have said time and time again in this thread, all I want is for Stafford Forum, Super Radio Stafford, and Stafford in general to prosper.

I know from private messages from some of the people behind Super-radio-stafford that they want the same, and are very much "on our side". I would politely ask that you sort out your internal politics and stop this kind of childish rivalry if you want to have degree of success at all, and want the continued help from Stafford Forum - established for 5 years, over 100,000 discussions posts, and growing by the day; an important local resource, I'm sure you would agree.

Tune in to Super Radio Stafford on Sunday's from 6 p.m. takes you right back, great show
You might want to read the above post first, chrisem. As you have said on that Facebook page, "Stafford Forum great place to give a free plug to your event!", so clearly you appreciate the benefits The Forum can provide. :)

Alas, Super Radio Stafford don't appear to feel the same way, so if I don't get a personal explanation as to why they are publicly slagging us off, I will unfortunately have to remove this thread and the link to their station. This would be a real shame, because (as any rational person can see by actually reading this thread, rather than just reacting to their friends' posts on some Facebook page) there is huge support for Super Radio Stafford here. :(

This thread that I started seems to have gone a bit loopy!

I'm self employed and my business relies almost entirely on tweaking the customer service/product in response to good or bad feedback from customers. Is that not the only thing that was happening here, as requested by Super Radio themselves?!

I've been on here from pretty much the beginning and have promoted plenty of businesses in Stafford, whether I've known those involved or not. This is all I attempted to do here but somehow it's gone a little tits up, as 'twere.

Let's all play nicely again and scratch each others' backs, eh?

I'm sure plenty of people are now coming to this thread from the Facebook group, and I think part of the problem is that they are only reading this one thread, and are misunderstanding the constructive criticism, and not taking the time to read any of the other threads.

So I have cherry-picked just a few from the thousands we have had over the years that maybe you all would like to read through, to prove how much we all love Stafford, and how much we have done for the local area:

Forumite wmrcomputers raises money 2 years in a row for the Special Care Baby Unit with his excellent Christmas lights show

"Your 5 favourite things about Stafford"

Stafford Forum Local Business Club - Supporting local business with weekly meetings

The Pie & Ale House comes to Stafford - and instantly gets enormous support from Stafford Forum. This one has been such a success story that the owners of Pie & Ale personally invited me and as many Forumites as we liked to their opening night, quickly established a fantastic relationship, and as a result (as you can see from the thread) have an almost constant stream of customers from us! This is exactly what I would like to get out of the relationship with Super Radio Stafford. :)

I've just been on that Stafford Remembered site,it's bad when one of the leading funeral directors in the town has a dig. There's good and bad in Stafford,i've lived here almost 30yrs and apart from a few rude people it int that bad. I don't know how to post things from there on here, dunno if i'd really want to. I'd just like me own business so I could go the pie club once in a while!
