Stafford shops opening - Turning into a boom town?

Plans go in for William Salt Library

Plans go in for William Salt Library

Someone at the council doesn't have an appreciation of place making, sight lines or signposting. You have to break some eggs to make an omelette. To save money the front of the building looks nothing like the original plans because they whole frontage has been value engineered and is now...

    Booming Stafford?

I think Stafford council has a policy of only planning green field sites!! Where developers do all the work for them and they just rebadge it. Anything in town is too tricky. Too many “stakeholders”. It’s a bit out there... what those big towns do, right?!

    Booming Stafford?

absolutely - the worse state it gets in the more free reign that a "knight in shining armour" will have in doing whatever the heck he or she wants with it. They aren't daft - they know what they are doing. Shame really - you look at the massive parcel of land for development there - The...

Food Court Pics for the Guildhall

cant see how a food court will be any use now the College has turned its back on the shopping centre and closed its adjoining entrance - meaning students have to walk around the whole campus to then get back into the Guildhall. It would have been perfect for students at lunch - as would a...

    Sport and Politics

Nope...unfortunatley the Beaconside Sports Centre IS included within the sale for redevelopment - its clearly stated on the sale site. 'Tis a fact. Get ready for an awful lot more houses in the East end....and maybe a kids playground if that counts as leisure...
