Please can anyone help with an indication of how much it costs to get around on them these days? Been literally years since I last used one, and their website isn't very helpful. When I phoned them, I was told you had to basically get a day ticket, which seems a bit expensive for getting...

Ha ha, yes :) I mean it feels similar in terms of the way the houses look, and the people we met. My main question is: is there any reason for us to avoid. My other half and I may be moving there, and are just curious to know before we commit.

Hi everyone, further to my question in the traffic thread, does anyone have any views on what it's like to live on the Parkside estate? First impressions are okay, perhaps the shopping centre not the best, but there's good transport links to the town centre anyway. Pub had a pool table, so...

Actually I can't think of many things more boring, so to clarify I would also need to be a fly that had also found a particularly tasty bit of dirt.

Completely agree. I'd love to be a fly on the wall at speed limit decision making meetings, some seem so random. My favourites are where a low speed limit section of road ends and goes up to say 60, straight into a tight chevron signed bend...

My nephew did this when he was younger and (more of) a nutcase. Tattooed his thigh, but didn't account for the skin stretch when his knee was bent. It all ended up looking a bit squished.

It might not be totally bonkers as reducing the speed limit on a congested road will probably improve traffic flow and reduce the queues at the ends. Or it might not ;)

Made me smile reading this forum earlier as we had driven through Great Bridgeford earlier, and had to double take where the lights were. Felt weird charging on through.

If you don't mind me asking, is that in the morning around 8-8:30? Not sure about the traffic lights. In my experience they are well intentioned but almost always actually make things worse.

Not ideal. Courteous motorists are out there, but finding two travelling in opposite directions when you need them isn't always easy...
