    Stafford Traffic.

But just for fun there’s a ‘road closed’ sign at the start of Clanford road, the back way from Great Bridgeford into Stafford… except the road isn’t closed until after the actual turn into Seighford….. You couldn’t make this up, seriously.

    Stafford Traffic.

Plus there’s now 3 way traffic lights outside the college, if anybody goes that way to avoid the traffic by Tesco…..

    Best place for dog advice?

After many sloppy months last year we settled on Harrington’s biscuits with lamb, for morning meal, and same again mixed with raw beef, from Pets at Home, in Queens retail park. Now their dung is always hard and solid. We have two GSD rescue dogs.

    Another tree gone!

Same on J13 roundabout, trees coming down today. I assume ready for the ‘Smart’ motorway fiasco to start.

Old M&S up for auction - Move the Market into it??

Which local businesses do actually close on a Wednesday afternoon? Used to be normal 30+ years ago, but not sure if any actually do it now, that I have noticed.

    Waterfront Car Park

Take the lift or stairs to the top floor, you can’t drive past level 6, unless you have a parking permit. Great view across Stafford from up there.

Old M&S up for auction - Move the Market into it??

And you could put a Burgerking upstairs, so the homeless don’t have so far to walk. :munch:

Red Ash / Red Shale in Stafford

We had to get it done when we bought a house in Rising Brook area. The annoying thing is only the kitchen has a solid concrete fooor. The rest of the house is floorboards! The buyer had it done on our house in Southfields road.

    Bins!

I thought we had a new bin man for the last collection two weeks ago, as all the bins were put back in sensible positions, where they had come from, and not shoved haphazardly wherever the guy felt like throwing them, blocking the pavement or outside a neighbours house..... But no, we are back...

    Snow.

It is only about 3 inches overall snowfall, but really light powdery stuff, and most of it has blown into a certain few places ten feet thick. Our drive is half totally clear, half a foot thick in snow.

    Snow.

Where does the water go to? Out that copper pipe? I think the copper widget is a safety blow off valve if the system over pressurises. The condensate HAS to come out somewhere else. ETA. Well feck me sideways, woke up today to a cold house, our bloody condensate pipe had become buried in a...

    Snow.

My sisters CH boiler has a 1 gallon plastic tank for the condensate to run into, and a float switch that pumps it out into the rain gutter up top when the tank is full. If yours is set up anything like that you should be able to at least see something like it below your boiler.

Examples of poor driving you have witnessed!

WTF is it with the ‘me me me’ clown mob nowadays, rush through a orane/red light just to queue up across the junction blocking everybody else from going on their GREEN light?? I see it almost every day in town! farkin'’ idiots!

    Snow.

Snow day for Blessed Bill. Only about two inches on the ground, but it has melted and frozen several times, a right mess away from busy roads.

    Arnold Clark

They make their money from finance and selling you all sorts of useless extras. Cash sales don’t really give them much profit any more. I bought a car from that Stoneacre Peugeot place down by Tesco. 50% cash, the rest on finance. First thing they lied about was the interest rate. They said...

Examples of poor driving you have witnessed!

Driving up through Highfields this morning, traffic is crawling, M6 is blocked. Car is parked on the right side, so I hang back a bit while we are stopped, in case a bus or lorry comes the other way and can’t get by. Common sense, normal drivers think ahead a little bit. But no, the two cretins...
