Running a bit late as I've just had a visit from two very nice policemen from Staffs Const; had a good, long chat. Reassuring to know that if I WERE a terrorist, the public order is protected by intelligence and the police have responded appropriately.

Intrigued to see that the forum admin has made a point of having an emoticon/smilie for "Scouse". Is it because there are many Scousers in Stafford, or is there some special discrimintion reserved for those from the east banks of the Mersey Estuary?

Little Haywood - great pub (The Red Lion) and the others close by aren't bad either. Good bus service and a bike ride from Stafford/Lichfield/Cannock etc.
On reflection, "great" is too small a word for that pub. Lovely community too.
Just joined this forum and was wondering if Stafford had a wider community of public-spirited folk prepared to demonstrate their views. It surely exists, but how does it manifest itself outside of council meetings?
